Akuma's my favorite character from Street Fighter, so I always liked Dragoon a lot cause the similarities.

Might be a bit of a stretch, but Magma Dragoon being paired with Neon Tiger might also be another Street Fighter reference to Ryu and Sagat: the former being closer affiliated with dragons, especially with the Shoryuken, and the latter's moveset being named with Tiger as the first word. Again, probably a stretch, but it was the first thing that came to my mind when you showed their Versus screen, so hey lol
