To be fair Nintendo kind of screwed up by teasing MP4 before development even began. To add to that pain they ended up scrapping what they had and gave the project to Retro, further delaying what they teased. With that said I’m hoping this will tide us over for a while.

Honestly this remaster is the first time I'm experiencing Metroid Prime. I had a Wii, but at the time I wasn't interested in Metroid, especially after Other M left a sour taste in everyone's mouth.

Then a few years ago (god it feels like yesterday), they had a Super metroid blind let's play because Chuggaaconroy never beat it. And when Chuggaaconroy (Emile) got to the lava section, Tim (NintendoCaprisun) adlibbed and sang "I was watching television"

Prime has an amazing soundtrack. Both atmospheric while also having memorable melodies at the same time. Prime is easily the best conversion of a 2D franchise into 3D ever made. Not saying 3D Mario & Zelda aren't good, but they changed a lot in their conversion. Heck, Zelda BotW is the closest to the original Zelda out of all of the Zelda games. Took them over 30 years to properly convert Zelda 1 into 3D.

This tune is too much of a banger for its own good. And I mean that exactly as stated. Back in _Super Metroid_ we already _had_ a "generic lava zone" theme: the smoldering but calm ambience of upper Norfair Caverns. By the time you heard _this_ there was only one clear objective left -- go to lower Norfair and take down Ridley at the end of it -- giving _this_ theme a distinct "endgame" meaning. A meaning that is absent from every other place this melody is reprised.
