Actually Gummi will shoot what ever bow you give him. He never usually shoots longbows but because there was really low turnout in the longbow/traditional class at the nationals outdoor (it conflicted with a viking festival), he went and picked up a club longbow and club arrows so that the only guy that signed up would have an opponent in the tournament. Gummi winning the tournament was very unexpected and not really part of the plan 😅 He just loves archery and having fun in general and wants others to enjoy the sport also 😊

At 30 meter?!! Sorry but these guys need to pick a different hobby. Horrible form and it shows! Arrows all over the HUGE target. Im no pro, just a deer hunter with a selfbow, but competitive shooters should be hitting every arrow in the yellow at least.

I am just a beginner wirth a traditional Revurve and i haven't shoot a longbow before. I hit the 30 meter target with better results, but I also have significant better material to work with. 😅

you do know that they dont have an advantage with fancy equipment like a sight or a stabiliser right 😥😥

@keiyoo_ I shoot traditional Recurve over the shelf. My only advantage are, that my arrow is more center and the Carbon and Teknowood materials in my bow and arrow, instead of plain wood.

Doing the math. Taking a random archer from the upper half of archers from the last World Championships 3D in longbow and looking up their scores at the same distance and target face in national target tournaments, their average arrow was around 7.9 points (so the average arrow of the top half of archers at the World Championships would be red). So your expectations and math might be a bit off that a "competitive archer" should hit every arrow in the yellow at least 😉 You may also have forgotten that hobbies are to enjoy them and have fun. You might want to revisit that concept, it is something way to many of us forget. And when you remember that again life is so much more enjoyable 😉

Keep up the good work. You are watching the a guys that picked up a random longbow and arrows (not a longbow dude) and a viking re-enactment club dude competing just for kicks. Because we had very low turnout at our national championships in longbow/traditional this year. (So pretty much just 2 guys of the street 😂). We have very few longbow and traditional archers in the country and most of them never compete. So we are trying to get them into it and promote longbow and traditional archery 😊
