Back in the early 1990s, I wrote a "Ram Doubler" software in VB3, that did absolutely nothing - apart from displaying few animations when it runs. Did nothing, but looked good.

Yeah there were a few.ones that.were like that. Softram if I remember correctly actually got themselves in a bit of legal hot water because it didn't do much. The reason I ended up with MagnaRAM back in the day was because when it was tested, it actually made a noticeable difference so I concluded it actually did something meaningful.
