Too bad these toys are forgotten today. I remember when I attached a wire from my little device to an antenna over the roof of the house, and I started receiving unknown radio stations with various languages from all over the world; although I wasn’t able to understand what they were saying, I was happy that I had all those channels in my little device. The presence of satellites has ruined it.

I wanted this radio when it came out.... Philips are good radios. I have Philips Cassette/CD radio combo from the 1970s and 1980s with FM and AM (MW) 510 to 1700khz ... still sounds fantastic 😊

Interesting video. By the way, this radio was manufactured by the Philips company in 1986 and therefore it was also sold under the name Philips D2999. Best regards from Germany

@@RadioMcRadioface like I mentioned in this video, I have two portable Grundig’s coming from Switzerland, which have already been in route for six weeks. And if you watched any of the previous videos, you probably know that I bought a collection of 11 or 12 radios, old boat anchor radios, huge heavy, but they were 1100 miles away. So I am in the process of getting those to my house. It still might be several more weeks before they get here. But those radios will keep me very busy for a little while anyway.
