Oh, I so love when you guys do interviews like this. Nothing about being stuck in the 80’s with questions about that stuff. Nothing about Morten’s looks. You just actually get to talk about your music and other intelligent very interesting stuff. Thank you! Would love to see more like this! ❤

I totally agree. They prefer talking about present to past. I think that's why their creativity's always in progress. Special artists❣

Through all the ins and outs of life A-HA has always been there. Stay on these Roads was just played at my favorite cousins funeral. Thanks for more than you know over all these years. A band I can share with anyone.

As a young boy I played the records of A Ha a lot. Now decades later I still love the songs (also in a nostalgic way) and now I play them very often from my computer. I always look forward to new songs (albums). Hope you'll continu for a long time doing great stuff. Greetings, Remco (The Netherlands)

Magne has many interests but when he 'writes' songs, I think the best thing to do is to give them to Morten's voice. He can sing them himself but not the same result. I've always thought it was a wonderful coincedence that three talented boys were born and lived near one another. If they want the best musically they shouldn't stop being A-ha. Pål and Magne are very special songwriters but Morten's voice is what makes all their songs unique.
@jazzcatjohn2 жыл бұрын
And they know this. Paul and Magne both have mentioned many times that when they write music for A-ha they have Morten's voice in mind. I think they know that what they do as a trio is special. Otherwise, they wouldn't continue to go through the process of working together, something they all admit is very challenging.

Well, I do kind of agree that when the three of them combine their talents, it is absolutely magical. However, I did hear the Demos of Magne’s songs for True North with Magne singing them and absolutely loved them!❤ His voice was so sweet and vulnerable. It felt like it came from the heart. Have you heard of the song “Summers of Our Youth” on the Analogue album? The main singer is Magne there and he sounds absolutely amazing. Hints of Chris Martin. I have heard Paul sing as well when he harmonizes with Morten in quite a few songs. “Crying in the Rain” instantly comes to my mind first. His voice is so good there. I also love Savoy’s version of Velvet with Pål singing. Wow…I mean Morten singing it is also amazing as well. It’s just a little different of a vibe. I love them both and could not prefer one over the other. Morten has also written some songs that are pretty amazing as well. They really are all extremely talented composers, musicians, and singers. When you put them all together, it’s like a whole other entity that is complete magic for sure. ❤

What a remarkable and super talented band a-ha is. Their new album True North is amazing to say the least, i can not wait until they tour near me in the UK next year- I booked to see them this year but unfortunately Morten became Ill and the date in Birmingham UK was cancelled- I was gutted as Ive never seen them before and I am a life long fan. PLEASE Keep touring as long as you can guys, kindest regards John G.

@@hartejdhiman4438 Each album has had a different feel or style, but they have all had the A-ha sound. I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Imo a-ha are always much better, when they use real instruments and less sythies.
@andreaslechner-riedl2 жыл бұрын
@@hartejdhiman4438 yeah, east of the sun and memorial and analogue are the best sounding albums of them - and the live album from the lifelines-tour... Usually only without synthies and programmed drums/bass music stays timeless and doesn't get old - of course there are exceptions...!
@andreaslechner-riedl2 жыл бұрын
@@hartejdhiman4438 of course this is a classic! But for me, it's only songs like Here i stand and face the rain, The sun always shines on tv, hunting high and low and of course Take on me that stand out - the others don't really matter to me - Scoundrel days is much stronger for me. Also Stay on these roads would have been a classic if they only would have found a better, organic production with real drums and bass. In general i prefer live- versions of their older songs , then they are really timeless for me.

@shelld12612 жыл бұрын
Oh, I am sure they will tour again, but boy do they deserve a REALLY long break! They had a crazy long tour this last time plus Morten and Pål got COVID on top of that. They still trucked on through that. I get a vibe that Morten is maybe a right brained introvert and Pål is a left brained introvert. After that crazy amount of stimulation, they will need some time to recharge. Plus, they all have their solo careers. This past year, they saw way more fans then spent time with their own families. They are world treasures and deserve some rest, time to work on their own stuff, and family time. No worries though, I am sure they will tour again sometime. They’ll probably still be at it in their 90’s.😂
