Nice job. I think you are the Richard Raffan of magnetic boxes. You left me longing for more!

I'm going to have to try this! Really nice presentation showing where the ruts in the road will be found. Having worked with magnets (industrial applications) for almost 40 years I can offer some advice: The really strong magnets, "Neodymium" or "Neo's" (NdFeB) come with a protective coating (metal like nickel or chrome plated copper etc.) This is because they are very corrodible, even in just humid (like kitchen) environments. There is another type (a bit pricier) Samarium Cobalt (SmCo). These are much more durable an I would recommend them to anyone considering offering a commercial product. The NdFeB type can be sealed - but it requires a conscious effort to make them last :-)

John, this is a very informative and educational video. The process of building the box shown in the video is quite straight forward and easily understandable. I would very much like to see a video of the box you previewed. The one with the hidden magnets. Do you have any drawing of that process? Is it possible to email you directly? Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
