The small square and round things (goldy looking nuts) are carbide cutting inserts used for machining metal. They are quite expensive and most looked unused. You could sell them to a machine shop. Scrap carbide brings a good price too ($7-8 a pound and they are heavy). The same for the drill bits if they are carbide. This looks like a machinists tool kit. The small stepped block at 7:30 is used in pairs. You put the stepped sides together and it can be used as an adjustable height block. you put it under and uneven piece to level it when you clamp it down to machine it. Nice finds Guys! 👍

I don't know why they threw those away, but those nuts look like you could make some fun steampunk jewelry with them. You sure found a nice hammer murder weapon too. ...ha ha ha... So much fun! Thanks for sharing. Have a great day!

Came home from magnet fishing a local pond with my nephew to your new vid. The giant tools and drill bits were cool. Loved the goldy looking things, ha ha! We found some fish hooks and magnetic rocks, but my 9 year-old nephew had a great time. :o)

From minute 8 to minute 9 you have carbide inserts that are used in machining metal parts, mainly CNC machines but conventional lathes and mills use them also
@KevinWoodsWorkshop5 жыл бұрын
I use those golden nuts at work on a milling machine,they’re carbide inserts. If you find enough with holes in you’ll be able to make mazzy a necklace.

You guys pulled a lot of items out that day. That one piece at 7:30 is used by machinist to help clamp the piece of metal they are going to work on to the work surface of the machine. They are used in pairs stacked on top of one another with the steppy bits facing together. You change the height of the squares by moving the top half up one step or more. Those nuts with the fancy washers are nuts with serrated lock washers built in. Some of the other nuts had bowed lock washers. My guess is there is (was) a machine shop nearby. The spanners and allen wrenches might have fit the adjustments on the machinery.

When you men buy those things like nuts and bolts these days they're in a pkg with others. Sometimes we take things apart to go to the bin and save the hardware. I have many jars-bags-loose ones rolling around and put them in a container together in the toolbox.

That coinbox is not a coinbox. It's an electronic device, that can recognize curtain coins it's programmed to recognize. It's used in vending machines/slot machines. It checks if the coins are real and rejects or accept the coins after checking it's real. It's also an old one. They don't make these anymore. I use to repair slot machines, so that's how I know.
