Have you looked at using “heat shrink tubing” to cover your rope knots & eye bolt, whilst “bodge tape” does a job, I’m sure heat shrink would be more durable, flexible & look so much better? It’s used in Aircraft etc, as holding cable/wires together & prevents rubbing/chaffing!

those are expensive if you can get it to dry out and work dont try it at all till its completely dry it can mess it up totally. the thing with the compus inside is for hitting and breaking windows if you go off in water in your car, the pointy thing on the end breaks out the glass so you can swim out, thats cool its an emergency kit neat.
