We know that tissue is made of many cell.xylem tissue transport water and mineral to leaves so they need energy .in plant carbohydrates synthesis in leaves . Food material that are synthesis in plant tranport by pholem tube . Therefore xylem tiisue connected with pholem tube to get energy to live the plant

The upper layer is made up of palisade cells and the lower layer is made up of spongy cells. The function of mesophyll is to absorb light energy so that photosynthesis can take place.
