The reason electrons are emitted from the 4s orbital and not the 3d orbital is because the 4s orbital has a higher energy level than the 3d orbital. When an electron is excited, it will go to the orbital with the highest energy level.

As we have studied that enery or shell increase as no. Of shell increases but it proves wrong here as we have 4S so it's shell is 4 and energy is 4 in otherhand 3d it's shell is 3 and energy is 5 so by the the statement proves wrong
