Chemists don’t taste mineral acids since they are usually corrosive. But you can dilute hydrochloric acid, where it is present in water by only a small percentage. Edit: forgot to mention you can taste a few mineral acids such as carbonic acid which is a synthetic acid but using a pH scale is a must when dealing with chemicals. We should never taste chemicals as they can cause serious harm.
