Healthy roots should be white or off-white in color and should have a healthy, fibrous texture. Another way is to check for pests or diseases. If the seedling has any signs of discoloration, wilting, or other visible issues, it may be of poor quality. Lastly, you can also check the overall size and shape of the seedling to make sure it is a healthy specimen. I hope this helps!
