In January & northern hemisphere land is more cold than water body so isotherms should be uppar in land area because marking of decreasing temperature as will as hight increasing on the page /general temperature rate. so line should be uppar in land area & down in water areas

@@symotivation853yea, 40°N latitude recieves almost slant rays.. and area covered by slant rays is larger than vertical rays. If larger area is covered then energy gets distributed and the net energy received per unit area decreases. That's how it's colder!!! Well replying after 2 years 😂🙏
