1:09 remove coating with sand paper. I was struggling with the experiment at home with different mechanism but after seeing above mentioned step at 1:09, i did it with coil here. My problem got resolved. Thank you so much for your post.

Using uncoated wire will short the path. There won't be loop. It will not work
