Basic difference in between paramagnetic and ferromagnetic substance is paramagnetic substance lose their magnetsim in absence of external magnetic field and ferromagnetic substance even show magnetism in absence of external magnetic field.

Difference between paramagnetic and ferromagnetic is that...when we apply magnetic field on paramagnetic material then is magnetized and whe we remove magnetic field so it will demagnetized...but Ferromagnetic materials are remain permanent magnets after removing magnetic field

Paramagnetic material magnet ke ek pole se attract hote hai jabki ferromagnetic magnet ke dono sauth and north pole se attract hote hain jiske karan ye permanent magnetism show karte hai

Paramagnetic materials lose their magnetism on removal of the external field and hence cannot be used to make permanent magnets. Ferromagnetic materials retain some magnetism on removal of external field and hence can be used to make permanent magnets
