This is by far the BEST INFO on charging a magneto rotor I’ve seen anywhere. Very well explained. Not in some big scientific language that most of us can’t understand. WELL DONE 👍

Hi Misaine1, I'm confused about the hooking up of the transformer. The battery charger I have has one input cable to be connected to the grid (120 volt) and two output cables to be connected to the battery posts (12 volt). Please clarify what connections you're hooking up in your transformer and if your using 120 volt or 12 volt to connect it. Thanks

Hi Matt, are you using primary of transformer, thin mains winding, or secondary thick winding, thought it would be thick secondary winding...Fred in UK.

I own some vintage Maneto shop devices from Bosch. Would you be able to tell me how to use these> Thanks Matt

Hi All i'm still not sure if you are using the primary or seconday winding, if it's primary it's a bit thin but more windings, secondary thick few windings Fred England.
@misaine111 жыл бұрын
yes huse the primary winding whit the most windings all the best . Louis

This message is to fred in the UK I use the small winding witch as the most turn and the smallest wire gauge.

Hi Louis you have more luck than I did, I had a transformer about half the size of yours, it seemed pretty powerful, it has about 0.5 ohm resistance and uses 50 amps off a 12 volt car battery, I have tried remagnatising several magnets, it does absolutely nothing, you can't tell any difference at all, maybe need a bigger transformer....Fred in England

Hi Tom i'm not sure exacly the total magnetic flux mine delevers butt i know ti is very strong, one thing you must not use solid steel block to tranfer the flux but a assambly of laminate sheat steel like the ones in the transformer and you must aling them to the one of the transformer otherwise you will lose a good percentage of the magnetic flux. Best of luck Louis

misaine1 Hi Louis ok thanks, I was using solid metal, or the magnet would fit straight onto the transformer itself..,,maybe it just not powerful enough, cheers Fred...uk

Can you explain what you mean about aligning the steel plates to the transformer? Thanks

Hi Louis, when you put the armauture onto the transformer for remaganizing, you actually put the North to the North Pole and South to the south pole, think that is what you are saying, not north to south and south to north then...Fred.
@misaine110 жыл бұрын
yes you are write the magnetic force created by the magnetiser being a lot stronger than the armature the poles will not repulse when the magnetiser is energised.

misaine1 Cheers Louis, we have made one and it seems to work, pretty powerful, we haven't tried to magnatize any magnets yet...Fred. uk.
