I think that if MCU introduces Magneto , Michael Fassbender HAS to play him. He is by far the best actor that has played a role like him and you can feel him focusing on the power that he uses. Like when he lifts the stadium , you felt the vibrations in the theatre , it was great or the scene in the train when he crunches it up and tosses it like a ball of tin foil. They better make him like this in the MCU.

I think he does a very good young magneto who is still all rage and fire. Sir Ian McKellen played a very good old Magneto still passionate but more controlled age has made him wiser about how he fights where as young magneto often feels like he is lashing out with no further plan.

I don’t think magneto is the best leader honestly due to a lot of decisions he made. However if I had to chose a side it would be magneto as he is more realistic and reasonable, his dreams and goals are a possibility. Whereas Charles is an idealist nothing but a man in denial, his idea of peaceful co existence is not wrong but he fails to understand that is done through equal force/power. Also when you think about mutants in general(individually) are superior to humans as they have all of humans individual gifts and more and as such there would never be peace between the two species . An analogy would be a lion(mutant) can want to live peacefully with a deer(human) and do so, but the deer will never be at peace because it know that the lion has the power to kill it whenever it desires and as such the deer will always find way to increase it chances of survival. This means no matter what happens humans will always try to become equal or superior to mutants and if they can’t then they try and remove the potential threat. I don’t blame them but that doesn’t mean I an idiot that’s am going to go out of my way to protect people that are probably gonna want to kill me later and as such I would chose magneto. But really if Charles and magneto united that would be the best as it would be both extremes coming together and their power combined would be enough to tell any humans organisation to fuck off.

Out of all the stand alone marvel movies they have made why not dig deep into Magneto? Start in the Nazi Concentration Camp and walk through all the things that made him who he was.
