Magneto seems to be much more accessible than Iceman and Jubilee so I’m hoping the delay ends earlier than expected so you can get him ASAP 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

GG. I'm expecting the best aspect for Magneto to be Leadership, but not because of the typical X-men build. Because of the Domino Ally. Then you wouldn't need to care about drawing copies of digging deep (or magnetic cards) into your hand, because she'll be able to swap them back onto the top of your deck before you use his hero ability.

"Charles, your move." Magnus stated, his fingers steepled as he eyed Xavier from across the chess board. Charles pondered the board for a moment, examining it. Magnus was always predictable but what was terrifying was his ability to adapt his particular habits into full proof strategies. Create key players with a solid plan of attack, fortify your position and strategy to guarantee a steady way forward and finally use the center piece of your strategy to execute the killing blow. Charles moved his bishop forward on the board, moving into an angle to bait Magnus to attack, "I must inform you Eric;" he said with an intended intensity, though it was undercut by his slight smile and jubilant tones at having the opportunity to be at peace with Magnus once more, "It is always engaging matching wits with you, I'm simply glad lives aren't at risk in this particular game." Magnus responded swiftly by moving forth his knight. He sipped from his coffee and looked to Charles with a stone faced expression, "Do not tempt me Charles, I could raise the stakes to make it far more interesting." An icy cold threat delivered by one of the most dangerous metahumans on the planet... at surface level. Charles kinship with the man could see the faint hints of a jest. Xavier though, played into it, "Perhaps if you could allow me time to ponder my next move, you could recant me with your perspective on the Asteroid M incident?" Xavier received a furled brow in response, "It was handled poorly by your team, Charles. Recklessly. Allowing the X-Men off galivanting across the galaxy leaving your forces weakened so Kurt had to solely lay the responsibility on his shoulders? I will say I was caught off guard by the boldness." Xavier gave a hearty chuckle at that, "Magnus, you of all should know the folly of youth with their feeling of invincibility." Magnus replied, "He is in his thirties, Charles." Charles parried humored, "Yes, like I said, youth." Charles chuckled once more but it was shared this time by his long time friend. After it had died down a moment later, the two were strategizing once more, though Magnus had a pondering look upon his face, "You know how I would handle facing against myself, Charles?" Xavier looked up from the board with a brow quirked curiously, "I have not the slightest idea, Eric." A 'clank' rang out as Magnus placed his helmet down next to the chessboard, "Why don't you look into my mind Charles and find out how I would conduct myself in a duel against my own vast might?" A tempting offer. Charles explored that what-if... ------------------------- ZERO interest in playing Magneto but what an AWESOME kit that feels really good without being too strong. Everything flows so well! Lots of close calls against Magneto and you managed to win by the skin of your teeth all the more excited. I empathized SO MUCH with the 'Wait we can get killed turn 1...' feeling. Magneto has handed those out often. Really great- Wait. You removed the magnetic counters from the main scheme when it advances? ...Wow. I'm learning so much from your videos lately.

Love the mind battle! Thanks for another amazing thematic story 😁 And yes! Magnet counters are removed when the main scheme advances, my favorite tactic is to let stage 1b pop when it’s at 2 magnet counters because it drops to 1 counter on stage 2 and relieves some pressure. I aim for that every Magneto game but probably only get it around 70% of the time (since he double activates or adds counters thru encounter cards). Glad you enjoyed seeing Magneto in action even though it’s not your cup of tea, maybe i can change your mind after more plays haha🤞🏻🤞🏻

Good ole Attack & Ready; one of my all time favorite archetypes. Its pretty underrated cuz i think it gets overlooked due to how simple it is, but its efficient damage. Impressive that you used the deck in solo as I generally see it as a MP deck. I'm pretty on the fence over Digging Deep/White Tiger, and this game has me more on the side that he doesnt quite discard enough for the package to be consistent enough. But we will see once i get some games in.

Yea i think Digging Deep is tons of fun and really good when it hits but usually won’t be worth it for Magneto unless he builds more around it. I’m excited to hear your thoughts on him!

@webwarriorfanatic I was down on him pretty hard after the preview, more on a fun level than power. But the unrevealed cards redeemed him a lot. He is still a little too vanilla for my taste, but will see once I get to table. Thinking Justice with heavy AE support package

@ you mean his cape redeemed him 😂 I agree AE is the way to go. If Magnetic Pull mills good cards, Survivor puts them back in and improves reliability

Magneto(villain) really did not want to make it easy for Magneto(hero). Looks like a fun hero! I haven't picked him up yet but seems like a great send off to the mutants.

I'm so hyped for Magneto. Sadly the Spanish edition is been delayed until January. Probably I'll try to get it before in English or even French, because is probably the pack which I've been most hyped for ever. I'm also planning to build it in aggression, using doubles + Digging deep as you do, but I fear that they could be too much resources. I fear to have hands with "just resources" and nothing to spend them. Also, I'm not a big fan of White Fox in this deck, as she disables Utopia, anyway, it looks great, and soooo fun to play. I'm eager to have my copy !

Awww man sorry to hear that. I think English and French will be the same feeling because we know the spirit of Magneto and what his cards do :) hope you can get him soon and i agree Digging Deep/White Fox probably isn’t the most reliable strategy because Magneto has so many situational cards resulting in potential dead hands

@webwarriorfanatic I have no problem in playing in English, French is another thing, but in the end they are just a few cards to memorize. About the deck building... I'm doubting about an aggression build (very similar to yours, probably adding Training camp), and a Leadership build, with lots of allies and Strength in numbers

I think you should play Moira Mac Tagger + X-Mansion + Weapon X + red support : you could Draw 6 cards potentially. Maybe, With Fox is not too good in this deck.

Good game! I suggest changing the sleeves on your Standard cards, they're starting to get a little bendy so you can actually tell if its a Standard card when its facedown based on the top of the sleeve.

Thanks Lazlo! I definitely need to. I think i should upgrade my sleeves for encounter cards but it’s hard to justify because the penny sleeves serve their purpose… it just feels bad shuffling, etc 😂😅
