Magneto (X) better to Rank up than Magneto? | Marvel Contest of Champions

I have both red and white Magneto as 6 star champions and I'm trying to decide which is better for me to rank up.

Brian for white mags you should special 3 special 1 special 2 for situations like winter soldier. The special 3 does decent damage and gives you a cruelty

@@spookytreatghost7781 in alliance war you can throw the special 3. It does tonnes of damage lol look at the video there are many situations where it would be helpful. Minibosses can have 250k+health and a boss 500k+ granted that 4loki will assign a red mags rather than a white mags to any metal boss but that's besides the point. When trying to gauge damage of an aw path opponent you wouldnt use winter soldier you would use. Namoor in variant 4 lol. That was just a damage test.

Bg a quick tip. After a sp3 for red mags you can hold heavy again to keep the 30-40 you saved up. It’s really useful just so you don’t always have to be building it up after a sp

BG, A big thing to consider is the attack bonus act 7 gives 6 stars. It’s significant. Red mags 5* would miss out on that.

To summarise the two Magneto's weaknesses in one sentence. Red Mags is more dependent on the opponent being metal whereas Mags-X is more dependent on his Sp's criting.

@@avoidextremes8413 If you follow Munash's YT channel then he has an abyss KM solo with red mags. So your "Red Mags is more dependent on the opponent being metal" statement is wrong. I think his biggest drawback is the absolute necessity to charge and throw heavies. Stun immune match ups hamper him significantly.

White mag is worth it for all debuff immune, tenacity, limber and shrug champs and nodes.

I respect this viewpoint but people have tried saying “(so and so character) is strong enough at this rank” but that’s never really been true in the long term. As Act 7 develops I think you’ll find r3 red mags so much more important.

White mags Sp3 also gives more damage from the cruelty's which then boosts the armor break and degen damage, coupled with his amazing synergy's in my opinion gives him a more valuable purpose and worthy of a 6* rank up, as well as the fact he isnt in the 5* basic pool.

Hey Brian, just so you know, Wolverine in RoL doesn’t heal based on Stored power, this was before he was updated. He has a 3k per tic regen that heals when critted, and a 9k hit that triggers from any attack.

People play rednmagneto wrong generally in my opinion. U get the big prowess from knocking them down w a heavy, these are permanent. Holding the heavy is not. The big prowess are 20%. If u stack ten, then hold heavy twice, unless it's something crazy (often times even then) they die. That way u can add a medium before each heavy if u want to build power faster. It's a waste to sit there and hold it.

I agree, but you also need to double it just before the Sp3 because the number of bleeds/armor breaks he places on the Sp3 depends on the total number of prowess buffs, so you get a huge damage boost from putting on tons of those small prowess

This is correct. Build up some sufficient number of strong knock-down prowesses (10+) without worrying at all about holding the heavy. Then when you're ready to use the sp3, do the heavy hold twice. You'll shoot up to your max prowesses for the extra bleed almost immediately. There's no reason to maintain temporary prowesses before then.

This is what i was thinking. This is how i play redmag against metal champs. Build to sp3 using regulr heavies that would give perma prowess (which is more powerful than the hold heavy thingy), then double it up to its max (about 35-40) If i got about 10 perma prowess, then i double it to get to 35-40. bleed immune and robot champs die from a single sp3. Thats from my r2 6*. R1 would be similar just add a few more perma prowess

Red mags if you got 40 prowess you would oneshot with an sp3 especially that vision.

Same answer I posted on your other video with your friends telling you who they’d rank up : Magnetto (red). Maybe you dont feel the difference right now but it wont always be the case. Act 7 opponents will keep having increasingly high attack and even if you perfect block 50% you’ll take big damage. You definitely could use speedier kills and larger health pool. White Magnetto will never serve another purpose than giving passive parries and synergies. He doesnt need to be R3 to do this. You want to use the Magnetto that perfect blocks, cant miss, cant be autoblocked, and that kills FAST.

I was in same situation one month ago , have mine 5* at r5 and I actually r3 mine white mag , and don’t regrets at all . He is awesome and using him in my AW team all the time . Also he persist in my Q team pretty often . Just like you mine other r3 and r5 are hero or metal or both so they benefit a lot . R3 him , you will not regret .

I like the idea of this video but I think a better comparison would be to do these tests not against each other but R2 Vs R3 and seeing how much of a gap there is in between those rank ups. Red Mags is going to be faster at killing metal champions but how much faster is he than R2. Also how much is the amount of time fighting higher or lower than the amount of time of White Mags at R2 and R3. Hopefully I made sense there, great video overall though. Also really smart to play the champion how you normally would instead of playing them “optimally” when in AW you’d just smash a defender with a couple s1’s from White Mags.

both deserve at least rank 2, however it totally depends on the situation, for longer fights like abyss or labyrinth, 1st choice would be red mags and for aq and aw content white mags shines better than red mags, having said that there are so many other mutants are waiting in the sidelines and are too good to be true after being a horseman, so if I would be in a situation as yours, I would save my mutant T5CC for the apocalypse, bcoz he is the first choice by far to be taken to rank 3 asap you pulled him and take both this versions of mags to rank 2 only...

my team is prof x, colossus and white mags, the synergy between prof and colossus reduces poison damage 74%, white mags is bleed immune so my suicides give me continuous healing. synergy between mags and colossus also mean i absorb a lot of damage. just makes it a good team for aq

I would always start with white mags sp2 to lock in the prowess and get the cruelty then use sp1 then sp2

Hey BG im the first person who R3d white Mags. I never regret it i love him and my Goal is to have cable Apoc and white mags at R3 its a Trinity like blades. The only one missing is Apoc for me he is sitting at R2 still saving for my third T5 Mutant

I took my white mags to R2 as 6* over my 6* red mags. I have a 5/65 red mags. I took white mags So he can do more as a quest member and the atonement does wonders as a stand in for a attack bonus.

Brian just remember if u go to war and use the prefight with white mags He will get weaker each time you use that pre fight.... also if it helps I have a 6 star white mags as well and he is not getting ranked up I do use him a lot on my teams but that’s about it . No, no, no! You did not play Magneto X right. On long matches, you build up to a SP3, then SP1 and then SP2 You gain a cruelty buff and you pause all your prowess after coming out of SP3. 🤔

I have white mags as 6* not duped but red mags only as 5* duped but not ranked I have much smaller account to urs only 1.1mill rating but I have been seriously considering r2 my 6* white mags cause if all the hype so I played wit him n he’s def a great champ I played wit my red 5* at r3 just to do like u n feel them out in dif content n I see a definite difference in damage but wit whites mechanics I really enjoy playin him more there’s a good chance once I get three t5b again he will go up he’s just really well balanced champ with tons of useful for me and others even in war n I feel he will help me n my alliance out much more. White mags has more utility and support. Red mags has more damage. I think if you have a favorite champ like colossus or archangel or namor or someone like that then you would definitely want white. Red mags can replace colossus, archangel, or namor. Thats how I see it

No it's not, there is a huge difference first off there is huge difference from a 4 to 5 star about 60% extra stats while is only 5 to 6 r3 is only about 15-20% in stats and you wouldn't have the same sig, as well as, what it take to rank a 4 and 5 is nothing compared to a six stars. But that's is just my opinion feel free to feel however you want to about the topic.

There’s only 70% AA reduction, and no way to prevent healing itself So wolverine simply got lucky and got a regen despite having only 3/10ths the chance

I believe these characters were buffed in a way to represent future nodes aswell as damage output, I nodes will be created to prevent you getting to a sp3 so white magneto is better, these nodes will also make alot of champions like red magneto, havok, and namor useless, given white magneto huge damage output he would be my choice for a rank up, red magneto as a 5 star already has massive usage so his 6 star version won't make a difference until far future content

There is no point taking red mags to rank 3. Red mags kills everything at rank 2 perfectly fine. Just heavy a couple more times and your doing the same damage as a rank 3. The benefit of a rank 3 is not worth it in comparison to rank 3 of many other characters. It is a waste of a rank 3 imo not that I wouldnt rank 3 him in preparation for rank 4 but as of now he is a waste of a rank 3

@@joshkosh8989 not really. Just activate suicides and your fine. It (a rank 3) mostly helps with non metal champions but you shouldn't be using him against non metal champions really. As I said if you need to kill in 1 sp3 you should be simply using 4 or 5 more heavy attacks and then doubling them later on and his damage will be just as useful. I did 100 percent 7.1 and not once did I ever think. Yeah a rank 3 would have 1 shot that. Wanna know why I 1 shot everything every time I used him.

@@spookytreatghost7781 kid. I said he isnt worth a rank 3 IN COMPARISON TO OTHER CHAMPIONS because they benefit more from a rank 3. Cgr at rank 3 is not the same as a rank 2 cgr you cant make simple adjustments to deal the same ammount of damage unlike red mags. However I dont think he is worth a rank 3 for the damage he is worth the rank 3 for the health so you have more ti play around with while trying not to parry and it makes him ALOT easier to play in that situation. Not once did I say he is just as fast to kill I said he kills perfectly fine. 2 different sentences. In comparison to white mags red mags gains less benefit from a rank 3. It's not a flawed argument everyone knows this is true. Also doom does not deal damage the same way mags does isnt in that same category of damage as cgr and magneto. Dont know why you mentioned him tbh. Taking white mags to rank 3 will be a better choice for an account than taking red mags to rank 3 as white mags at rank 3 has a much bigger change in dps than red mags. This is easily mathematically proven so no point arguing with me lol.

Not specific numbers this is just an example. Red mags power level=550 at rank 2 and 650 at rank 3 White mags power level=350 at rank 2 and 550 at rank 3. The power level INCREASE is bigger for white mags. Than for red mags it's a pretty simple concept. If you rank up white mags your account is more improved than if you rank up white mags.
