Mercury can be used in magnetohydrodynamics (MHD). MHD is a branch of physics that studies the magnetic properties of electrically conducting fluids, such as liquid metals like mercury, and how they behave. MHD combines Maxwell's equations with hydrodynamics to describe the macroscopic behavior of fluids like plasmas or liquid metals. It used to be used in the vimaanas. For example, a two-phase liquid metal MHD system that uses mercury and air is used to study generator behavior at high void fractions. Another test facility uses a mercury circulating loop with an azimuthal magnetic field to investigate the transition from laminar to turbulent flow in MHD generators. Mercury is one of the simplest examples of an electrically conducting fluid. It can be used in a rotating transformer with a coil to create a magnetic field. The current can flow in one direction or the other depending on the polarity of the current.

Die Glocke, they just use that to turn old ass men into little kids again, so they can live for a thousand years, which is what was promised. MHD systems have the potential to harness inertial magnetic confinement, using mercury, and leverage power distribution systems, to create a sustained antimatter reaction. This Antimatter, comprised of resonant wavelengths of light, is much safer to use than mercury, in a more broad range of systems.

What are your thoughts on compressing the hollow plasma tours with oxygen. These air molecules will act as a force on the plasma (a thermo plasma to a point it's squeezing it or pushing down on this plasma while the MHD accelerators this ferro magnetic plasma for Antigravity propulsion. I don't believe that this is true an that if effect PSI air pressure is added on this that the tours doesn't hover, but instead the tours at normal speeds for propulsion would create a Mass Reduction. So instead of 0 60 miles per hour in seconds.... How ever this method will cause the tours to go from 60Lbs to 0 weight in seconds an could help with G Forces on Pilots. If the craft is loosing its mass then the engines can propel the craft faster than it normally would.

There is not a single MHD, but two kinds. MHD in liquids or in hot gases like thermonuclear plasmas (as in stars) is at thermal equilibrium and is governed by a high magnetic Reynolds number. It poses no issues to engineers, besides the mandatory high-power electromagnets and the electrical generator on board. On the contrary, weakly ionized gases (also called "non-thermal plasmas") are far from equilibrium, which means that only the "electron gas" is hot, while the heavy gas (neutral and ions) stays at room temperature (BTW that's why you can hold a fluorescent tube in your hand without burning). This MHD is that of low magnetic Reynolds numbers, and that's why MHD applications in ionized gases are so difficult to master and develop. Because when a non-thermal plasma with low-magnetic Reynolds number is magnetized with a strong magnetic field (critical Hall parameter involved), a nasty, very fast instability arises: the _electrothermal instability_ (discovered by E. Velikhov in 1962) as well as thermal blockage, which ruins the efficiency of such converters and makes them impractical. Only when the electrothermal instability is tamed (with a method discovered by JP Petit in 1983) can MHD converters in ionized gases exist. For air-breathing hypersonic applications, apparently only the Russians managed to crack the nut.

There is an interesting design of aircraft, but they rarely talk about it, because this thing is secret. The topic of pulsed plasma thrusters has been developed since the early 60s (see PPT - Pulsed plasma thruster) - they are usually designed for spacecraft. But we will talk about a little-known design - these are plasma propulsion panels for aircraft, where the same Pulsed plasma thruster, but reduced to the size of a pencil and stacked in the form of cells in the panel. The design resembles a conventional plasma TV screen, where there are also discharge cells that activate the glow of pixels on the screen. And plasma propulsion panels have long discharge cells, the arrester has a railgun architecture (just rail contacts or coaxial), and the ionized discharge air is accelerated there by the Lorentz force to enormous speeds - a kind of ramjet engine is obtained. Just imagine! - tens of thousands of small ramjet engines assembled in a panel and firing plasma synchronously with a huge frequency (hundreds of kilohertz). Thus, plasma propulsion panels create lift by pulsed emission of plasma jets from railgun cells. There are tens of thousands of cells in the panel, they shoot at a frequency of hundreds of kilohertz, a huge pulse is obtained, and the plasma swirls the air into toroidal rings - the aircraft is held on this air cushion. Horizontal acceleration is created by the same plasma panels on the sides of the device (they glow, from the side they look like "portholes"). Such devices like "triangle" or "disk" have been observed for a long time, they are mistaken for alien ones - but these are terrestrial devices. They are classified and used for espionage and secret actions. Pulsed electromagnetic technology generates microwave radiation, therefore it is harmful to health. They rarely fly - only military missions. Therefore, they are not suitable for a citizen. This maintained the secrecy. Now they are already declassifying - many people know about this secret technique. When declassified, they will be used for cargo airships. But there is a danger that they are now going to be adapted to deliver small nuclear charges to decision-making centers - such means of delivery are not specified anywhere, are not conventional. This lowers the threshold for starting a war. It would be necessary to declassify them as soon as possible. That's why I'm writing about it. However, I have written before - starting with the book "The Elimination of UFOs" and many articles. There are also videos on my KZbin channel - "Declassified UFO" and "UFO Anatomy".

Pretty sure wings only work when air flow is attached to the surface of the wing and flow difference between the top and bottom of the wing, the faster flowing air taking the longer path has a net lower pressure than the slower moving air underneath taking a shorter path. That difference in pressure causes lift, so long as the air flow remains attached. The effect is entirely localized around the wing, that's why turbulence causes the sudden drops as the gusts are causing the the air to detach and the lift to momentarily disappear till the airflow can reattaches and is able to generate lift. Modern cars use it all the time, I know my car uses it to create low pressure pockets to help pull hot air out of the radiator. Unfortunately MHD never got much past trials in lab settings as the electrolysis of the water often created H2 bubble signature due to the current being applied directly to the water. In space the mass needed to act as a reaction mass limits load capacity size. I'm still putting my money on solar sails capturing the solar wind pressure created by solar radiation or great big glass orbs or lenses located at Lagrange points focus solar radiation to help speed up solar craft, so they don't need to carry as much reaction mass.

YES YES YES, FANTASTIC VIDEO, thank you! I have been seeing this in my dreams since I was a kid and always thought we needed to use high spin mercury, under immense pressure, rotating at "light speeds", passing through high voltage at a specific resonance/frequency, to provide lift! Pair this with a way to track and "ride" magnetic and gravity fields and you have a "pathway" to "ride"! Pair the Lorentz Force with magnetic fields in the area (positive/negative) to provide pull/lift, kind of like a sail in a boat, generating a magnetic field that "pairs" with the fields around the craft, providing pull/momentum in a certain direction, tie that to computers that scan/calculate the "local fields" and as long as you can "get off the ground" and attach to a "magnetic path", you have a magnetic "roadway" to travel!

Someone please further explain how EHD and MHD can be separate. This was not actually explained, and it looks more like you can't have one without the other. Ostensibly you used exactly the same model in your graphic (and it was superbly done) to describe two separate things. For example, an aircraft propeller uses mechanically induced low pressure on its forward surfaces to generate thrust, but also generates a violent spiral of air behind it as a side effect. They are two distinct phenomena but cannot be mutually exclusive in the same scenario. To me you are describing a similar situation and claiming you are only researching the one phenomena, to the exclusion of the other.

Well, you started off wrong. I hate that. MHD is not an acronym..it is an abbreviation. Come on you guys. There are several problems associated with the development of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) propulsion. One major challenge is the need for extremely high temperatures in order to generate the plasma necessary for MHD propulsion. This requires the use of materials that can withstand high temperatures, which can be expensive and difficult to obtain. Additionally, the complexity of the system makes it difficult to control and stabilize the plasma, which can lead to inefficiencies and reduced performance. There is also a lack of knowledge about the behavior of plasmas in magnetic fields, which makes it difficult to predict the performance of MHD propulsion systems. Finally, the high cost of research and development for MHD propulsion systems can be a major obstacle for many organizations.

It may allow a more space centric propulsion system similar to ion thrusters for ground to space transport, but in general it doesn't seem that much vastly better than the VASIMR engine other than tuning. The VASIMR just seems far simpler to run in general. @clementvining2487

@@asteronx A MHD acting on the quantum vacuum fluctuations is a q-thruster. And I know you are dealing with matter antimatter in the form of positrons and electrons lowering the amount of propelant. But I really don't think you well ever get the efficiency to the point of not needing any fuel what so ever of both the power system and the propulsion system. That would be papetual motion. Now if we ever figure out how to make a quantum state moderator we could use this to make warp matter like on star trek in the form of depositronnum. Which would be stable extremely high density energy storage. Also this system unless combined with nuclear fusion would be hard to make it work. I really think these system well findly be used as part of a hybrid propulsion systems but not stand alone. Look I know you well allways disagree with me. But while these systems well findly be used they take a lot of power unless you have a way of producing the large scale ionizing like with fusion. And still you need a lot of power for the electric fields and magnetic fields. I can only see one way to make this work. That is with antimatter catalyzed fusion and I am not talking about the positron type reactor you showed before but as a upgrade to fusion we are working on now. Large atom non specific antimatter like anti carbon isotope or something similar is easier to make, slow, cool and store. A factory with a 2 mile track could make 2 grams or more a year solar powered. It would have a 2 mile passive cooling ring also with a attraction mass in a Pendeum trap. And the gaint superconducting magnets are not needed. The new technologies that can be used is only 1-1/2 foot wide. The passive cooling ring and attraction mass in the Pendeum trap allows the antiparticles to slow, cool and form atoms at there own rate. As you know one gram of antimatter produces the 3 times the energy of the atomic bomb dropped on the Japanese. Only miligrams are needed to use as a heat source to replace oxidizer to get a ship to orbit. Only micrograms are needed for antimatter catalyzed fusion. Point is all these systems can be used and inproved as we go but we need the power that antimatter well provide. Offworld it is even easier to make more because of access to more sunlight and high energy particles. It could be a source of revenue for interplanetary colonies.

I thought I might learn something. Yes, ion wind is different and a very weak force. Yes the principle of lift is correct. After that it's a lot of advanced physics. Some time ago it was speculated the military had a plane capable of Mach 12 or greater. To be clear there are two critical factors here. First is incredible propulsion. Second is not melting or shredding like toilet paper. This is how it was explained. First, jet engines would take it to low Mach. Second, SCRAM jets would engage to hit around Mach 5. Then it would shoot a current out the front powerful enough to create plasma while at the same time creating a magnetic bubble, basically cavitation in the air. At that time the MHD. would kick in. In particular plasma is positively charged atomic nucleus with the electrons stripped away. It's the fourth state of matter. Being ionized means the molecules are looking for a covalent bond. The energy difference is huge. However escape velocity is 7 miles per second so you need to go fast to get to space unless you have an elevator. Essentially I see no explanation of MHD working in the atmosphere from a standstill. Magnetic drive with rails yes. Additionally your explanation in space fell short. The propulsion you presented, like ion drive is low energy but operates for a longer period, and there is no drag in space. Matter in space is extremely low density gas. Virtual particles would be the result of high energy collisions. MHD needs interacting Magnetic fields and that means either mass or energy. I know people who don't do science probably miss what I pointed out. However MHD is certainly exciting, especially if cavitation can be achieved. Of course if it fails it rips apart like the Challenger.

After a 25 year career in analytical chemistry, I have devoted a portion of time studying solid state chemistry and other quantum technologies. I had learned that in finding any breakthroughs in novel findings, anomalies are a key. The solution to finding a new source of energy anomaly is a Nobel Prize winning paper on negative refractive indexed meta materials. These synthetic materials refract electromagnetic (EM) waves that have a left handed rotation. Where the natural materials refract the EM waves right handedly. This anomaly separates the energy from the wave vectors. The crux of this anomaly is that this EM wave generates a blue shift or an increase in energy. As an example, an infrared wave is pumped into these materials, the refracted photons will gain energy and become ultraviolet waves. This gain in energy at the nanoscale can be utilized to create a partial water plasma. The same plasma that is in fluorescent lights to lightning. After researching this on Google Scholar open source, I can see a systematic path to accomplishing this. This is complex, but I am confident that it can be done in a university laboratory level setting. This fits into magneto hydrodynamic propulsion systems. As water is in abundance on our planet, it is the perfect fuel. If any reputable corporate entity or governmental is interested in these hypothetical findings, I will share the details. At 75 yo, I just to make our world a better place to live.

This was the work of Jean-Pierre Petit and his PhD student Brun in the 70ies. They demonstrated also that with MHD you can nullify the sonic boom in supersonic flights, hence fly supersonic without double bangs. Seems to be used for the B2 bomber, not for sonic reasons but for RF plasma shielding (bending of the RF waves in a plasma) and improve stealthiness.
@paulkrimmel6384
@paulkrimmel6384 4 ай бұрын
B2 Bomber is subsonic thats why it produces no Sonic boom… Supersonic flight produces heat due to compressing the air infront of the plane (forming a shockwave you can hear as a loud boom), which in itself is very bad when designing a stealth bomber since it can be easily shot down by ir guided missiles, at hypersonnic speeds, this shockwave gets so hot, the air surounding the plane turns into plasma on its own. This would light the b2 on a radarscreen like a cristmas tree, since plasma is not capable of bending radiowaves, but is highly reflective to them, this plasma would also produce huge amounts of UV radiation that could be tracked from the ground. You can see the b2 is definetly not a supersonic plane, just by looking at its shape, essentialy the faster you want your plane to go, the longer and narroweer you build it, in short, you optimize it so no part of the plane will ever touch the mach cone produced by the nose of the plane.

What's quantum other then size, do you know
@Vito_Tuxedo
@Vito_Tuxedo 6 ай бұрын
@@Flagg1 - I think you probably mean other *_than_* size. If so, start with position and momentum. Heisenberg's uncertainty principle states that it is not possible to specify BOTH the momentum (velocity) and the position of a particle with certainty. You can measure either one up to the limits of precision of your measuring equipment, but not both. Also, energy states are quantized. Electrons are constrained to certain quantized energy states within the atom; there is not a continuous range of allowable energy states. But those characteristics are not the context in which "quantum" was mentioned in this video. Rather, it invokes some (presumably) inherent magnetic properties of "virtual quantum particles", which are presumed to pop into (and out of) existence from tne "the quantum vacuum", a minimum, non-zero energy state that is believed to permeate all of space, even in the deep intergalactic vacuum. OK...that's fine, I guess. But what does any of that have to do with a working prototype of MHD propulsion on Planet Earth? It's already well known that MHD will work in space. It has very high specific impulse, which helps to make up for the fact that the thrust stream contains very low mass. That makes it good for very long distance travel, where transit times are long. But the amount of force generated by such thrust is minuscule; it's not enough to levitate a vehicle in a way like what is depicted in this video. Without a working prototype, this is all fiction, and not especially good fiction based on actual science.

@@clementvining2487 I'm afraid you've watched or read too much science fiction of the kind wherein fiction much overcomes science. Inertial mass dampening is pseudo-science, pure fiction, not at all anything scientifically real: mass (rest mass) cannot lose or gain any bit of its inertial quality at all, which is always measured by the amount of mass for this reason. Mass (relativistic mass) is increased by kinetic energy, the increase only begins to be appreciably comparable to rest mass when it reaches an appreciable fraction of the speed of light in the vacuum, and is only appreciable by an external observer (frame of reference), not by any observer accompanying the mass. Space distortion: spacetime is bent by the mere presence of mass, causing the phenomenon we call gravity. You need moon-sized mass to get more gravity than what a mere several hundred meters-sized asteroid can provide: thousands of millions of tons, which you cannot take with you in a ship. And there is no such thing as antimatter-catalysed fusion: catalysts are substances that decrease reaction time while not being consumed, or by being regenerated during the said reaction; but antimatter is just the same as matter but with opposed electric charge, and it is immediately and fully consumed when it meets ordinary matter, which suffers the same fate, and the only residue is extremely energetic radiation (gamma rays). It is so difficult to produce that the amount created along several decades cannot reach even a trillionth of a gram, and you would need kilograms or pounds to be of any propulsive use, if the gamma radiation lethality could be avoided. Sorry for exposing real science depressing facts.

Real how-to knowledge of nearly, if not fully, void viability. Let's compare to a helicopter, its rotors driven by mechanical force. Several tons worth of helicopter. It would have several square metres of rotor blade surfaces, aerodynamically generating lift by spinning several times per second around their axes, thus causing a downwash of many tons of air per second, the blades cutting it at an appreciable fraction of the speed of sound (closer to it at the blade tips). For an AsteronX ship weighting the same, a similar air downwash must be generated, so several square metres of wing surface is needed, as well as comparable air speeds. Neither electrohydrodynamic nor magnetohydrodynamic (nor a combination of both) can be strong enough, acting on remotely ionised air to accelerate it to such speeds, without being comparable to a lightning bolt's, thus one such bolt will most likely form which would choose a random path between the upper and negative electric charge densities, not a carefully-designed laminar flow around the wings. And it all, assuming many tons of air per second can be remotely ionised to the correct electric charge sign. It is science fiction (which, by the way, I love nonetheless) to expect it can be viable. No investors will be found to fund such a contraption, they rely on science-aware counsellors.

We have found our own human way to do whatever it is they were capable of, albeit not as sophisticated to my knowledge. I had similar idea few years before. Simply ionize particles upper to create lower pressure and discharge them under to create dense preasure. To gain some ionized wind. But its weak. But preasure has force 10 tons on m2. So only 5% of preasure change is enaught. But had better idea. Create machine with superconducting magnets that lock to earth magnetic field. If that machine lock field, then move magnet part downward, at bottom turn of field move part back to top, then turn on push again downward and same again. And you claim like on ladder. Another idea is to lock to sun magnetic field, in right moment it rip of spacecraft from the plannet. But after it you stay still relative to sun so you fall directly to sun. In right moment of stopping you can gaint gravity boost from earth/moon.

Ion Wind is the effect or an asymmetric capacitor. The positive being the smaller of the two promotes the flow of electrons toward the larger negative side. The electron transfer pulls the wind with it. The higher the voltage, the faster the flow (obviously).

The forces of magnetism does travel through none conductive surfaces provided they don't exceed the field length. Liquids and gases might have troublesome centre of mass to control and just using solid wave cavities might be better stability to create instability upon a craft. Scattering motion and true motion of Kubel like bearings held into position might create low and high pressure differential also.

Pretty sure I've seen a craft using this type of propulsion. Flew straight down i front of me and was showing off. As it was approaching me it made a very sharp right hand turn and scooted forward a little bit. When it turned, behind it i could see a greenish/touquoise flourecent glow that came out like a trail or some kind of booster.

Still some confusions about MHD and the creation of ionic wind. MHD at a voltage below 30,000V, will create ionic wind (see Jean Louis Naudin's Lifter). TT Brown had to go to France, to gain the support (denied in the US) of a French aeronautical / space agency, to prove that his MHD worked in empty space = the movement upward of a capacitor did NOT merely push on air. Biefeld and TT Brown also demonstrated this, way earlier, in their lab, with asymmetrical capacitors powered inside a vacuum chamber. Their video is found on youtube. They celebrate with champagne at the end. TT Brown named his earlier work as "Electrogravitational" while If you study it, you will find tests made with asymmetrical capacitors (Styrofoam cups wrapped with foil) which moves on the horizontal plane. Since gravity is not affected but vertically, MHD is not affecting gravity. *I would not disassociate Electric force from Magnetic force, as both of these orthogonal forces make up the Lorenz Force. F = q (E + B x v). The experiment is cheap to conduct, using salt water and food dye to visualise the Lorenz force exerted on salt water (fluid). As it works in space, we can wonder what medium does it affect? Photons are the exchange particle in all electric and magnetic phenomenon. Photons are not like baseballs ejected by the Sun. Rather, they comprise the omnipresent medium, earlier called Aether. It could be easily expected that since photons are intimately involved in anything electrical and magnetic, logically, creating electrical and magnetic forces would likely affect photons. Indeed, you can see how rather strong magnets will bend a fire (a plasma).There are false assumptions still in place in regards to the nature of light, photons, and what constitute a magnetic field/ electric field. When we find the true nature and interactions of these. we will no longer be slaves to the Third Newton's Law of motion, ushering a new era of space travel. Cheers!

By MHD an entire ship can be moved in total vacuum It's the electrical current through the entire ship, crossing at right angle a magnetic field, that makes the atoms want to move in the remaining angle Your right hand's rule ... check for " A primer on the Homopolar Phenomenon "

If the magnetic field is generated relative to the ship then the atoms will not move, because a subset of them are generating the field. Its for the same reason that blowing into a sail from inside a boat will not move the boat.

Well I tried to listen to all this with an open mind. And what I got out of this is you are trying to build fluctuations of the magnetic spectrum in a variation that reacts with it's soroundings as if they were fluids. You will need some very powerful magnets for that... And a very focused microwave guide form to prevent dispersion. Yes you are still using applied ionic wind... But you are layering it in More reliable stratas, each layer maintaining a polarized membrane between itself and the next due to the various states of the gases and their ion variants. This will be hard to make work until you reach very high Teslas at kilohertz in frequency...

This MHD propulsion device will only work in the atmosphere at no higher than 22-25 km above sea level. Since the craft still relies on aerodynamics and fluid (air) to fly. Other than that dream on.
