What makes a good life? It is an age old question which has kept philosophers and thinkers engrossed.
Research suggest that having good people in your life has a strong impact on your happiness. It’s not enough to focus on yourself - we need to connect and build better relationships. Every meaningful conversation you have, every authentic and helpful act, every honest word, will add to the building of deep and trusting relationships, like the untold number of delicate brushstrokes that make up a beautiful painting.

I barely know where to begin to express what I feel after watching your films. So first, thank you. Watching this is like sitting down and spending time with Kinna over a cup of tea, basking in her beautiful presence and hearing the words of a wise sage. I will watch this over and over, just to "be" with her. Her art is so captivating. I appreciate how candid she was about how what she fears also fascinates her and how she faces it head on in what she paints. Her work and words speak so beautifully about the complexity, the "magnificence" and impermanence of life and what it is to be a person. She invites me to see how facing death is an invitation to appreciate and embrace life rather than something to resist. And what she shared about her mother was so profound...how you can appreciate everything by staring into the eyes of nothingness. Wow. There are SO many amazing things she said...how everything can be so meaningful because we know it's not going to last forever...how if you have good people around you, you will have a good life...how when you have someone's art, it's like you have a little part of a person who is more complex than can be known. She strikes me as someone who has not only always been a thoughtful person, but a woman who has really come into to herself and will continue to do so. Thank you again for sharing her with us!!! Once again, the music is so perfect...to see the visuals of death and hear music which is so magical and playful...it's another layer of so artfully communicating her message that translates directly onto the screen. (bravo!) I don't know how her interview unfolded, but it amazes me how skillfully you organize and edit the words and story...how what she shared about her mother and son was so beautifully woven into just the right places. What stays with me so powerfully after watching is the image of her rockin' that red sweater, her joyful face and her words, "I'm here. I'm visible. It's alright. It's great." Thank you, thank you, thank you, GR for how you are healing my life and this world!

Death gives life the deepness...more Gratitude.......well for me the body is temporary......and I AM eternal. My human Self has from time to time fear of death.......but my soul smiles. If course I habe to remember often who I am realy. For this I put a little Note on my desk in the kitchen😉helps me a lot in my day to day reality. I guess thete is more fear of suffering then death itself....HM. when I go to sleep....well isn't it like a " small death" ? I let go and I Fall into sleep. One day I let go and my body dies. If one is afraid of dying, may I recommend watching/hearing/listening to people who had near death experiences, where people died for a short while before they were revived back to this side? Predominantly, these experiences are very beautiful and loving. As a matter of fact, "life" after death is so wonderful that once they are there, people do NOT want to return. There are loved ones who welcome us. There's unconditional love, joy, happiness. One such account that comes to mind is that of Anita Moorjani. You can find her story in many KZbin videos. There are many other accounts. The only time when the experience was terrifying, in all the stories I heard/read was when the person had a strong belief in hell and believed that he was so bad that he would end up in hell. His own beliefs manifested themselves in that nightmare. Going through depression, self-deprecation, believing that I am a looser, lacking all confidence, no self respect, no self love, finding no meaning, no purpose, no reason to live, I created a life for myself that was a hellish existence and I realized that the only hell is in this life, in the life I created for myself. This was reinforced by hellish experiences of others: wars, murders of their loved ones, physical, mental, sexual abuse, rape, hunger, torture, loneliness, hunger, thirst, lack of love, depression. If that's not hell, I don't know what is. I concluded even back then in the depths of my misery that beyond physical life's hellish existence, no other hell exists. So do not fear death. The passage might be painful (accident or lengthy illness) but the other side is heavenly in every sense of the word. There's no more separation from the Source, from the oneness. No pain, no limitations, no lack, no depression, no meaninglessness. There's only unconditional, endless love.

I too as I am growing old hope I don’t loose my mind. I looked after my husband for 8 years with Alzheimer’s. It is so much harder for the career. I would think daily in his last year when he was in a care home to talk on the phone and make him remember things of his youth that would make him laugh. I know from University that we have cells in our eyes that make the world in colour or we would see like dogs do in black and white. To me that is horrific. Colour gives beauty to everything. Be grateful for colour.
