@@macman3175 So true...Why are so many crying out to Mary? Jesus Himself is clear when He said: "You may ask me for anything in my name and I will do it". (John 14:14). The bible (which is the Word of God) teaches us that we have access to God the Father through Christ Jesus. Or we can ask Jesus Himself directly, as He is in the Father and the Father is in Him. We need to read the Word in order to know the truth, and in this instance I would advise people to read John 14. The bible warns us in 2 Corinthians 11:14 "And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." The only reason why the Roman Catholic church venerates the virgin Mary, is because having a female that would be adored as a goddess was something that appealed to the greater pagan public in those days, and many pagan customs were accepted into a the RC version of christianity, turning it into a man-made religion. Unfortunately, the Roman Catholic church does not teach people to go to God the Father directly to ask for forgiveness of sins, even though Jesus shed His precious blood on the cross and the veil in the temple in Jerusalem tore in two. Jesus made the way for us to have direct access to God. We are reconciled back to the Father, if we put our faith fully and only in the finished work that Jesus accomplished on the cross. He died, was buried and rose again on the third day, is seated at the right hand of God the Father and very soon He is coming back to judge the living and the dead. God promised to teach us what we need to know through the Holy Spirit. Ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Christians are perishing because of lack of knowledge Jesus said that we cannot live on bread alone, but that we live of every word that comes out of the mouth of God. God's word! Not man-made religion. I read up a lot on the children in Fatima and was astounded how much it made me think of demon possession. I have searched for the truth for such a long time. I started learning through bible study. I was convicted of my own sin. Wholeheartedly asked God himself to forgive me of everything I had ever done. I had a full emersion water baptism. Prayed to the Lord for the gift of the Holy Spirit. And I still remember the day that Christ came to live inside of me. Since then the Holy Spirit has given me many revelations. Most importantly that He is returning soon. Please remember that the Church (ecclesia) is not an organisation (Roman Catholic or Protestant or any denomination). The church is made up of people. We (as Christians) are now the temple of God - when He comes to live in us through His Spirit. Jesus is the head and the believers make up His body. We don't need a building to go to to be with Him. We don't need a priest to ask for forgiveness. We don't need any saints or the virgin Mary to pray to. All we need is Jesus! And then, stick to this (Mark 12:30-31): Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbour as yourself'. There's no commandment greater than these. There's not one passage that teaches us to pray to anyone else than to God Himself. All the rest is man-made. Jesus is our advocate in heaven, and His is the only name by whom we may be saved. The bible (Word of God) is our spiritual food. We need to read it and let the Word be embedded in us. It's the sword of the Spirit! God bless you everyone.
