Hurrem wasn't so unlikable. She charmed people to get where she got. I love this series but I wish they stuck more to factual History with her. They made her absolutely unbearable in this series where in real life she Rose to power because she was charming and smart and cunning.

The way Ibrahim rounds the corner and sees his death in Hurrem's devilish smile. He knew he was in the presence of his down fall. For the most part, Hurrem let Ibrahim run himself ashore on the Sultan's rocks. He wanted freedom. That is why he married Hattice and promptly started having an affair. She was his ticket out, or so he thought. His power hunger, ego, and temper ended him.

Except, much as the show likes to pretend otherwise for some time, this is where Hürrem starts to share status with Mahidevran (and eventually overtake her in status too). Even Hatice says as much later on.

Again Mustafa does what he wants- allowed to run around palace- calls individuals by first name- Hatice etc.. Mahidevan not watching him, taking care of him- always at Valide feet

So, in reality, the transition of Maria to "Gülnihal" would've happened immediately upon entering the harem. Conversion into Islam, along with being given a new name, were all part of the "initiation" into the harem and were a part of the push for these women to replace their former selves with these new identities.

I don't understand why so many people support Gulnihal/Maria. She was Hurrem's best friend, and Hurrem took her into her chambers in that capacity first and foremost. While you can't say no to the emperor, she should have told everything to her friend, not hidden it. The fact that she kept it a secret is a betrayal. If she had been a true friend, she still should have told Hurrem, and as we all know, Hurrem would have found a way to prevent her from going to the emperor.

Mahidevran started by poisoning hurrem cz suleiman loved her more and don't forget she is pregnant.,after Ibrahim finding the truth he protected Mahidevran and hurrem was left with no justice. The real dome is yet to be seen

Slave's world means nothing. Without proof she would be executed. Maybe even if she had strong proof like 500 slaves as witnesses its nothing against 1 family member or a mans word

@@eveshqat5544 Perhaps, but Gülnihal would, in effect, be speaking to a fellow slave at that point if she brought it up to Hürrem so that's kind of a moot point. Gülnihal didn't even know this was a scheme of Ibrahim's, however, so, at best, all she could've gone to Hürrem with was that the harem attendants were making arrangements for this to happen.
