I can understand for Hurrem not wanting Mihrimah to divorce but I feel like she still demands a lot more of her daughter than her sons. I mean remember when Hurrem was the victim of a spell because of Hatice. She ask to Mihrimah to take care of all her brothers when Mehmed was the oldest. When Mihrimah become a teenager she asks her daughter to prepare to help her one the some occasion against her ennemy but she kept Mehmed away. And even now she ask to her daughter to sacrifie her hapiness for hers brothers who are ADULTS now. To the place of Mihirmah I will told that her brothers are big enough to rule a province and get by without her making even more sacrifices for them. It sums up well that it's always up to the sibling's sister to make concessions for the well-being of her brothers, never the other way around And I won't talk about Suleiman he married solely for his personal gain and out of love (and not out of duty or survival), but he asks his daughter to make an effort. Joke of the year. P.S: I don't understand why she didn't explain to hers parents that she want to divorce as he is too much obsessive, abusive and always controlling her.

I understand mirimah she was forced into a marriage with a man who was the 22 years her senior who had already been married to someone her mother used to deeply trust and who was the mistress of her uncle,I believe Rustem loved her but it was too much for her to process she felt like she had been pushed into a world her mother promised her she would never have to be in only for her mother to not keep her promise,she was young and in love with another man since she was young ,hurrem wanted the best for her daughter so she did what she had too she knew and all of us knew Bali bey was a player and it would be a complete scandal if a princess married a man who was the lover of Mustafas former fiancé and caused a lot of trouble for Mustafa in the end nothing is fair especially in those times mirimah hurrem and rustem have a right too feel confused sad and angry they have all been through a lot.

What don't you understand? She's with man that she doesn't love and she was forced to marry him cause Hurrem would have more power if Rustem is married with Mihrimah. In series she never wanted to marry Rustem cause she was in love with Bali Bey but he wasn't in love with her so she acted immature then and accepted to marry Rustem. But would you be married to someone that you don't love at all? Like that thing you said others found him attractive and interesting, who cares about that if she didn't find him attractive. Also if he was loyal to her mother and Suleyman does it mean she needs to sacrifice herself just because of that and be with that person let's say her whole life. Honestly I'm so surprised she stayed in that marriage that long time and divorsing him was mature and healthy thing to do if she doesn't love him cause she let him go and set herself free too to be happy and not to be bird obligated to be in cage because that's good for others.
