cause this show likes to demote people in rank when they are mad at them lol. the was hatun until they married then became sultana. unlike mahidevran being called sultana when clearly she was hatun. her grave says hatun and hurrem's grave says sultana. also they like to make the sultans sisters act like they out rank her when in reality when she married him she outranked everyone except him.

For example, if Prince Harry is present, his cousins and such have to bow to Meghan; if he's not there, Meghan has to bow to them (which reportedly caused Meghan some confusion at first.) It was how they dressed then. The way the clothing is made, that’s how it sat. If they needed more modesty, they had ways, but certain cuts of the blouse and jacket came from practicality. Rather than get rid of clothing that no longer fit, the blouse was simply cut lower to avoid choking the wearer and allow for feeding babies, and the jacket neckline would be altered to make it fit a larger bust. You may not like it, but it has practical uses and is at least a becoming way of dealing with a growing body.
