The way he acted here, not only having them kids his ring but had a servant lift his arm for him. Demanding, insulting, threatening, bragging and so much more. Acting like the tyrant Sultan Suleiman never was. I could not help but laugh at Hatice being angry, petulant, childish, over him having "an affair" with a slave/servant after demanding Hürrem and Mahidevran just deal with/accept eachother, drop the jealousy, accept it all and not cause issues within her brother's harem between wives. He's the man, the ruler, it's not their place to interfere or demand he remain monogamous, this is their culture, his right. All over the world (specifically Europe) the nobility and rulers were expected to have one or more mistresses, usually even having "official mistresses" (there's instances where people disliked and made fun of, a couple Kings because they didn't have one).... It was illigal and taboo, against their religion and (with exception of kings) frequently done secretly The Ottoman and Mogul Sultans were not totally different in ways. Except they had female slaves, concubines and such, for both that purpose and a kind of high level maid of a sort to carry out miscellaneous tasks. I mean... Truthfully... Technically, Ibrahim wasn't doing anything wrong by the laws, religion, culture and normality of that time period. I can't help but wonder how much of this show was shaped by/to modern ideals/morals/expectations/etc. When we look at History, it's so hard not to evaluate it with current ideas/morals/knowledge/etc.... But, we should not do that.... It causes problems to appear where there were none before, it creates unfair judgements, it also allows people to twist it and try to use it for inexcusable bad behavior and make demands, twist the history so badly it wouldn't even be recognized as the same event so they can make demands of justice that neither modern party had any thing to do with.

Ibrahim ultimately caused his own demise when he let his ego get to big yet Hatice still blamed Hurrem for Ibrahim death smh 🤦♀️

IN MY VIEW Ibrahim Pasha signed his own DESERVED death warrant lifting himself as equal, if not above, Sultan Suleiman the Great.

The scribe is like...ooohhhh I have every word, right here. The way Ibrahim acted, put on all the airs, the throne, kiss his hand....wow...then later on in the series...way out of line.

@ellacostache7004 жыл бұрын
Poor? she started it by saying that the otoman empire is her and making Ibrahim feel like a slave, even thought she told him that she loved him? what kind of love is that. She was obsessed with him and toxic. And he was way more stupid than her but let’s not get deep in the story. Who knows, knows😊

@@ellacostache700 You need to chill. I don't think Hatice ever "claimed the empire to be hers" and overall it's just a show. Nothing else.

This is funny because even before this incident Ibrahim had referred to himself as sultan and suktan Suleiman actually wasn't opposed to that. You see thise two were extremely close childhood friend. Like in Mughal Empire Akber treated the hindu general Man Singh I as his own son and titled him Mirza Raja or Mirza king. He was also totled as Maharaja by Akber or as great king.

It's Hürrem's fault, she forced the screenwriter to write such a text or she wishpered to Ibrahim ears that words. Yeah this is TRUE. Shame on you Hurrem, shame on you.

Besides the point but he didn’t even match that throne😐 it looks so awkward and unfitting in the middle of the room with couches behind, just imagine having guests over and you sit in front of them with your back turned, like…this isnt ‘my voice’ ibrahim🤨🤨. Putting it against the wall would’ve been much better but not everyone has taste i guess😩

Ottoman was hell out of a great nation. Look how spineless those European ambassadors standing in front of only the Great Viviez. Most people forgot how fukcing powerful they used to be. Hope someday the European would not boast about the power they think they have.

Biggest mistake he made was trying to outshine the King, he broke an unwritten rule in palace politics. He was Grand Vizier aka the Ottoman Prime Minister, he was the second most powerful man in the empire he should have been content with that!
