For anyone looking for an explanation to how he write 1 to the magnitude spectrum for all signals, it is because when you write cosw as (e^jw + e^-jw) / 2 = so that there comes a 1/2 multiplied by 2 gives 1 magnitude.

Thanks for great video! what is the difference of auto-spectral, amplitude spectra and cross-spectral density? is amplitude and Magnitude same?

Auto-spectral density is the Fourier transform of the Autocorrelation function. It’s also called the power spectral density (PSD) - See Weiner-Khinchine theorem. Similarly the Cross spectral density (CSD) is the Fourier transform of the cross-correlation function. CSD gives a measure of spectral correlation in a pair of signals. Magnitude spectrum is same as amplitude spectrum but without the sign. A negative amplitude is equivalent to a magnitude with a 180 degrees phase shift. The 180 degrees phase shift corresponding to a minus sign is usually represented in the phase spectrum.

DTFT is used for discrete signals. For discrete periodic signals, DTFT is reduced to DFT which is used to compute over one period.
