It is great to listen to this analysis by the world champion chess player. This is such an absorbing movie. I could clearly see that real chess aficionados would find it even more absorbing. All I know about chess is that it is played on a board with 64 squares that alternate black and white in either direction, there are two sets of pieces, one black and one white, there are different rules for how you can move the various pieces, e.g. the pawns that start out front can only move forward and only one square at a time (I could be wrong about this one :-) )

The school and community centre style venues often chosen for tournaments is... I don't know, it's not really a spectator friendly game and organizers can't really justify renting out a fancier venue if they can't sell seats for it. Perhaps the show will bolster public interest enough to allow more of that in future. Maybe. The problem is people are rarely prepared to watch full classical chess games running several hours each.
