I'm curious about a move at 2:17. I like the idea of taking the pawn with bishop and following up with queen takes pawn. Keep in mind that I'm just a hair over 900 but it seems to have good implications for being down a material piece.
@redisthewaytogo43732 жыл бұрын
it's a good idea, but you'd be down a piece for a bishop. White's pieces are all developed and yours aren't at that point so it'll be difficult to continue the attack.
@uau_exitar2 жыл бұрын
Its a good idea but there no way to continue the attack. If there would then these GMs would already have. For example after Bxh3 Gxh3 Qxh3 And then white would just play Nh2 and there is nothing left you are down a piece now. White will bring his queen to f3, rooklift is possible to e3 to chase away queen those bishop pair is active and can start defending. But mostly white will bring his queen up for an exchange.

I found R b2 in the last position. This should also be a draw I think. Because even if white gets an extra rook since the rook will be on the a or b file and the queen will be on a8 the king cannot escape checks
@teambellavsteamalice2 жыл бұрын
yes, in another comment it was confirmed a draw. before promoting to a queen white can give a check with its rook on b7, but promoting after this gives perpetual check on f8 and a3 or lose the queen. Giving more checks probably gives the same situation of an unprotected rook that can be forked unless moving between specific white squares (not c6 or d5 or a check on the diagonal could cost a queen).

There are only 2 responses in my 2500+ database: 3...Nxe4 [875 games where White scores 58.6%] & 3...exd4 [55 games, where White scores 59.1%]. Firouzja leaves my preferred line [4.Bd3] & plays the !? move 4.dxe5, where there are only 150 games in the 2500+DB & White scores 56.7%, compared to the 4.Bd3 line, where there are 719 games & White scores 59.0%.....does Firouzja have something prepared? After 13.Be2, we have transposed to the last game in my database: So vs. Yu Yangyi, 1-0, 38 moves, 12.12.2019. Stockfish 14 scores the position 0.25w, so Yu Yangyi must have slipped up somewhere....14...Bg6 is the same move Yu Yangyi made & it were the game begins to slip into White's favor as Stockfish scores it about 0.73w after 15.Rad1 & like a machine Firouzja makes Stockfish's suggested move. Black continues down Yu Yangyi's deadly path with 15...Be4 which further decays Black's position, as Stockfish now scores it 1.17 after Firouzja makes the best move: 16.Ng5 just like So did. Yeah....with 17....d4? we DO have a completely new game & Stockfish scores it 1.40+ for Firouzja after 18.f4, however, he plays Stockfish's 2nd recommendation: 18.Bf1 which is just about as good a move as 18.f4. However, 19.Qf4 instead of f4 is Firouzja's 1st misstep, as it cuts his advantage from about 1.65 to 0.95.....but he's not playing against Stockfish.....so my money is on Firouzja.... and 21...Kh8?! oh oh....Stockfish flashes the YELLOW light because White has a 1.80 advantage after 22.Bb5!, however, Firouzja plays 22.f3?? which is so BAD that Stockfish turns on the RED LIGHT as he has thrown away his advantage, as Stockfish scores the position 0.65w after 22...d3. 25...Nxd4?? was the final nail in Black's coffin, as it gives White a decisive 2.60+ advantage....all Firouzja has to do is find the best moves with what little time he has left. 30.Kh2?? NO! You don't have to unpin! Stockfish says this is horrible, as it cuts White's advantage from about 2.70 to 1.15. And, when it's all said & done, Firouzja has a minor advantage of about 0.90 after 37.a4....By the way....the 3500 rated Stockfish 14 recommended a4 instead of a3 back on move 27.....lost tempi are expensive! After 44...Rxg2 the game is DEAD EVEN. Oh well....OMG!! 50...f1=Queen???? Black had FOUR moves to choose from that keeps the game at 0.00. So sad.
