Mega Man X8 No Damage (Layer): Earthrock Trilobyte [Hard Mode]

Mega Man X8 (Layer/Zero): No damage taken, where I'm playing through the game on Hard Mode. It's a NG+ file, so of course, I'll have all of the weapons. This is not a minimalist run, so I'm using everything at my disposal, but still remaining fair for the No Damage challenge. This is the Legacy Collection version, so all game-breaking glitches are no longer present and I'm playing Mega Man X8 glitch-free; the way it's supposed to be. Before you ask, the custom music I use will be listed below near the end of the description. Thanks for stopping by.
Let's get started with the first real stage of the run: Earthrock Trilobyte. The thing I like about this stage is that while it's semi-auto-scroller, it's kinda not at the same time. The screen scrolls according to your own speed, and the mini-boss speeds up accordingly. I wish all the other auto-scrollers in this game took notes from the design of this stage, for it did auto-scrolling RIGHT in an action platformer like this. Regardless, it's a fairly simple stage and I don't find anything worth mentioning that strikes me as difficult or unfair. No Damage is very, very stress-free when you've got the memorization down, even with the mini-boss's fight phases. It's all linear progression.
...Until you get to Earthrock Trilobyte himself. At this point, I'm numb to RNG bosses. I've dealt with it at it's worst in Zero 1. There's no way of knowing how Trilobyte will fire his rebound spheres once he starts to get serious. He could either shoot a crapton of them at once that are all fired upward and diagonally (the one you want so you can stay on him) or one at a time at random angles... ugh. This ruined quite a lot of runs of this stage, as Trilobyte was mostly the sole cause for my retries. I would complain about the RNG, but right now, I'm tired of it. It's really true when you challenge run these games, you truly see the little flaws they have in boss design. But... MM games really have a fetish for RNG boss behavior, so at this point, I'll just shut up and accept it. Mega Man X6 taught me that the hard way, and if you're attempting to challenge run too, I'd suggest doing the same if you want to keep your sanity and continue having fun.
Of course, due to not having any techniques right now, boss fights until after Dark Mantis (who'll be the video after the next) will be incredibly dull. But trust me, the boss rush will have a more interesting re-fight with Trilobyte, I promise.
