According to Ralph Lauren's fragrance department in the US (as of July 2022), they still make the product. It's never been widely available, especially at mass retailers or duty free shops. I believe they stopped marketing it in Europe, possibly in Asia too. Current production is still available in North America.

I agree with everything you have said about this one. I just wish Ralph Lauren would come out with an EDP or Intense version of this scent- it smells too good for it to only last 30 minutes and then disappear 😔

Double black was my first big boy fragrance and I wish I bought more before it was discontinued. I rarely touch my bottle now solely to save it.

My SOTD! Used the aftershave, deodorant and edt. Gift set I picked up a few years ago. Great scent for work.

I feel like this one is more of a sleeper. When I show this one to people right off the bat people have told me it's "ok." The dry down is subtle but I get more compliments after it's dried down a bit. It's fruity but warm and sophisticated. I feel like it's good for autumn.

High praise! Still have a 2008 bottle of the original Black and it's a licoricey synthetic mango beast. Massive performance on that one. Really wasn't a fan of it originally (one of my first ever blind-buys) but I just grew to appreciate the sillage over time. Thank God I kept the bottle.

The double black smells a lot better than the original but the performance is woeful. Such a shame.

maybe this is meant to be more of a date night fragrance, one that is meant to be more intimate than a beast mode fragrance

is there a perfum that is VERY similar sent but last a bit longer, or atleast that isnt discontinued!? i am craving for a perfum that is exacly like the polo double black but the price just goes up and up, and the stock... i just with i had an alternative with almost identical scent anyone ?
