Magura MT7 Leaking Master Cylinder??

Mine after 5 years i had almost bump a tree because my rear brake loss its power because it accidentally leaks. I have ask magura if there are available parts like pistons or the rubber O ring and they said nothing to buy and the said the only remedy is to buy a new complete brake cylinder lever. Its very sad that a 399 dollars brakes after 5 yrs you must throw it away.

Coz yours is out of their No Leak warranty. I agree, they should have replacement parts for this.

No, i did not attempt to take it apart anymore.. i was able to give it to a friend who was actually having leaks with his master cylinder because of a hairline crack..

Hey, So, did it help? What kind of grease did you use (silicone based)? A friend crashed his bike. We did multiple bleeds and did not help. Last one I did, if I squeeze the lever quickly it breaks full power, but if I want to “modulate” and squeeze slowly the lever goes to the bar and it has no breaking force😢

Hi! Mine's covered by warranty. So they sent me a new MT7 master cylinder with the regular lever. I took pics that after applying that performance grease in and leaving it overnight after nicely bled the system. It showed grease was dissolved by the Royal Blood and was dripping out of that piston area.

@@fABIO-cs3un after a lot of research I decided to buy 2 Shimano XT levers and go for the Shigura. Magura calipers are great but the levers are way too fragile. However you can find replacements on the web for the master cylinder and it works

Hi, so you just took master cylinder from spare parts and install it to your lever?

So i gave my master cylinder to a friend who has a hairline crack on his, last month. So he transferred all his piston and springs into mine, and it worked! So in essence, there was something wrong with my piston and rubber seals.

Dko masyadong alam ang weeping port, pero i think un ung flat panel na may tiny hole. Un ang dko na sinikwat baka kc magkaroon ng atmospheric pressure change sa chamber.

Warranty claim na, piston and seals are kaput. Ung master cylinder assembly ko, binigay ko sa friend ko. Ayun, ngwork nmn sa kanya!
