This is my new series on mahabharat, I am trying to find the evidence of ancient mahabharat era. I am sure that mahabharat is not a myth but it is sure a mystery now which needs to be unravelled. Join me in my journey through the era of our great history.
Unearthing Mahabharat- I will start my journey from a place in Baghpat known as Lakshagrah.
WHAT IS LAKSHAGRIHA? Lakshagriha or 'House of Lac' features in one of the most important episodes in Mahabharata. According to the story, Kauravas built the palace out of lac so as to burn the Pandavas alive. The Pandavas, though, managed to escape the house of lac through a secret tunnel.

Shame on all governments of India till date for not preserving and developing all sites related to our history from ramayan and mahabharat as tourist spots. Most of people in India don’t even know about these places. Instead they have spent all their time and money on preserving mughal and british history rather than their own Indian History what a shame..

Hatts off to you and your hard work dear varun ... one thing i want to add is that about LAAKSHAGRAH , it was not only LAAK but wood , husk and more than that GHEE was put along with laakh so it catched fire instantly . Dharmraaj Yudhishtir ji already smelled the odour of ghee and he also understood something wrong . But really wonderful job from your side . We should read and learn from our ancient sciptures , vedas , puranas , granths . MAHABHARAT is the 5th Granth and the biggest one . if anyone wants to read the origional Mahabharat then he or she can read the english translation of BORI edition , by Shri Bibek Debroy .

Because its over 5000 years - Don't you think everything gets Buried under Mud, Rain Water, God knows how many centuries it may have been buried under Mountain of Mud & Debries, of Thousands of Years. However, if full excavation is done it will be much Deeper for Sure - As it is found in Same Spot as Described. A bit of common sense.

I heard a Story that Lakhsagragh was at Lakhamandal and there was secret passage which pandvas used to reach other side of River and also they worshipped the Mahadev at Lakhamandal and pandavs decided to build that Temple but they unable to build. Please visit Lakhamandal do your research for more interesting story about Mahabharata Era. There were lot of stories about Pandavs.
