All the persons who have defeated Ravan (apart from Ram) are as follows: King Bali's subjects, Saharsra Arjuna, Vali of Kishkinda, Lord Shiva. Indra didn't defeat Ravan, his temporary victory was sort of a fluke that was soon corrected by Indrajit. Remember if Indra was that strong enough to beat Ravan, there'd be no need for Vishnu to take incarnations as Ram to hel the gods.

@gandhrav it doesn't matter how old the media is, once its digitaly remastered you can even have hd quality. Those old ramayan camera actualy took high difination image with alot of megapixel while filming but back than we had no means to keep those hd image intact while transfering to vhs or dvd. Now we do. I thought it was not possible until I watched those movies made in 50s, 60s lol with dvd and hd quality. India is not adapting to this new digitaly restoration method.

those who say that Bali cheated and stole half of ravan's power. yes its correct. however even if he didn't "steal" half of Ravans power he would have still beaten Ravan, albeit not so easily. Let's see, the greatest feat of strength Ravan displayed was lifting the himalayas, although not without straining himself. But it was said by Sugriv that Bali could juggle mountains the size of himalayas and he usually did juggle mountains to increase his strength just like how we lift weights. so that shows that Bali is on par with Ravan in strength, if not physically superior to him. Also Bali's son, Angad is said to be much physically stronger than Indrajeet, Ravan's physically strongest son. Indrajeet could not even budge Angad's feet off Ravan's court, much less lift it. That goes on to reason that Bali might actually be physically stronger than Ravan, and hence Bali's son is stronger than Ravan's son. Yes Indrajeet may be trained by Shiva, but that didn't give him more physical strength than Angad. He was trained in how to use astras (celestial arrows) and also the Tamasi maya (magical warefare) of vanishing in the clouds and attacking an enemy while invisible. Pretty much like ancient day air strikes.

Hanuman had great power yes but he was stalled by Kumbhakarna (the only Asura in history who was able to stall Hanuman). Ravana punched Hanuman and that caused him a good deal of pain. If Hanuman's power was limitless then he could have punch Ravana so hard that Ravana could have been sent miles away from the battlefield.

You use special equipment to digitaly restore a old movie from original movie strip, the process is not same as putting it on dvd.
