এই ছোট্ট ভিডিওতে অনেক গুলো অসাধারন অভিব্যক্তি আছে। প্রথমতঃ রবিঠাকুরের গানটি ভাওয়াল সন্যাসির ১২ বছর পর ফিরে আসার দৃশ্যটা ভীষন আবেগপ্রবণ করেছে, সাহানা বাজপেয়ির স্বর্গীয় গায়কী, যীশু সেনগুপ্তের জীবনের অন্যতম এক চরিত্র, একটা ঐতিহাসিক ঘটনা যেটার রহস্য আজও পরিষ্কার নয়। কিন্তু সব কিছুর মধ্যে আমার ভাল লেগেছে জয়া এহসানের সাংঘাতিক অভিনয় । মনে হচ্ছিল বহু বছর পর প্রিয়জনকে ফিরে পাবার এর থেকে ভাল অভিব্যক্তি আগে কোন বাংলা সিনেমায় দেখিনি।

What a song!! and what an acting by Jishu.Totally Speechless!!! The visuals and the song brought tears to my eyes.

The song is definitely tremendously sung. But I did not understand where you have seen Jishu Sengupta's acting. Most of the time he was shown from side and back and at the end when he was eating for a split second his face was shown. I do not know in what context this scene will come but if I assume this scene is coming after long time of monk isolation then the actor has totally failed to tone up his body. His body looks very urban gym going with lots of tonned up muscle. A total failure by actor to tone up the body for the role. Watch it again. There should be limit to psycho fancy. @@xarup its ready sad that you could not find anything great in Jishu's acting. Actually many people think its cool to snub and ridicule our Bengali film industry. So many great films are being made in this industry which are being praised by people and critics world wide and yet you find it to be degrading??? I can mention so many films in recent times by directors like Srijit Mukherjee,koushik Ganguly, Nandita-Shiboprasad, Arindam Sil, Goutam Ghose, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee and many others which has received accolades and appreciation from the entire nation and world. So dont be a stupid intentional blind and consider yourself to be ultra modern by bashing bengali films. And mark my words Jishu Sengupta will be one of the strongest contenders to win National Award this year for this film. Everyone(except some ultra modern idiots like you) from common people to critics are showering praises on his acting. So we are all proud with our psycho fancies

@@sandipandey4978 On the contrary I am tremendous fan of Bengali cinema and watch almost every Bengali movie including film like Kellor Kirti etc (come every other day in Jalsha movie). Yes I watch world cinema and I can claim I have watched almost every major cinema made in this world from inception of cinema (be it Heneke or Darden or Xavier Dolan or Czech New wave to French New wave to American indie or almost all commercial cinema be it Hindi Bengali). I do not at all snub any cinema because with my little study on cinema I know how cinema works. I attribute to my love for cinema entirely to growing up in Kolkata and watching Bengali cinema. I am not talking about Satyajit Ray or Mrinal Sen. I am talking about Tarun Majumder Tapan Sinha (to me the best Bengali film director just because of his handling his subject) Asit Sen Ajoy Kar (have you watched Parinneta available in youtube) and numerous directors like them. When I grew up and left Kolkata in early 90s and got access to World cinema the work of these Bengali directors inspired me to jump in and I started wondering what is the difference and jumped into more theoritical aspect. That study does not forced me to tuned more to World cinema(definitely created awe for Godard or Bergman) but created more respect for those Bengali directors who made Bhalobasha Bhalobasha or Hermonium. I would suggest you go to Anandabazar Patrika and read the review of Hermonium written by non other than Sagarmoy Ghosh. You will understand how much cinema needs honest critics. In recent years there is Hugh decline in Bengali cinema. In recent time other than Asomapto (I bet you have not watched it again available in youtube) there is no substance in Bengali cinema. Rituparno Ghosh's best movie (Chittangadha) did not get any audience neither Asomapto. Why I am saying Asomapto is because this is the only movie which could catch the flavour of magical realism of Sirshendu and it wiped out in one week. And arguably it has the best acting of Bartya and Ritwik. The problem is directors you have mentioned have successfully created public relation hype around them and masked their ordinary content with a coloful wrapper. No problem with me but if after removing wrapper if I get Uma Haami or Dristikone where there is no velocity or forward movement it is hard to fathom. And I know for sure how bad the situation is in Bengali film industry that people like Aparna Sen Anjan Dutt are succumbing to SVF. Indian cinema after long sleep has woken up. Watch Village Rockstar and you will know how a movie can be made. Watch Vikramaditya Motwane and find how he is bringing anger in the screen. Watch Kannada or Marathi movie (I am regular watcher) to see how the young generation is creating absolute interesting content. I am in touch with many Kannada director and I know how difficult it is for them to get finance. But they are successfully created the movement. In Bengali cinema Q Suman Mukherjee Aditya Vikram (have you heard about his next movie Jonaki) left Bengal. Ask yourself Why. Ritwik Ghatak was unknown to World in his life time. I remember watching Meghe Dhaka Tara with one of my American friend in a cold night and walking down the whole road for over 50 minutes without uttering a word. And that was Bengali cinema. He still ask me to refer another Bengali cinema like that and as a psycho fancy of Bengali cinema I cannot. You know why. Because you praise something where there is a flaw. Watch Sanyasi Raja and you will find how Uttam Kumar hid is body in Sanyasi Raja. I praised Srijit when he executed Baishe Srabon knowing fully well how bit is inspired but that does not matter. I hope to hear from you.

Now i might also boast of my knowledge about Bengali and world films(well many of the films you mentioned above has been watched by me ;so pls dont consider yourself extra smart and ultra intellectual by already assuming that you know everything about me)But this is not the right platform to boast about it. I will keep my view straight and simple. There was a time when Bengali film industry was only churning out substandard pathetic remakes of South Movies. Even today also considerable portion of Bengali movies are like that. But in recent years at least an attempt has been made to make Bengali films with original stories (Yes Baaishe Srabon is inspired from Righteous Kill but so are many other movies in other industries)which has the heart and soul of Bangaaliana at its core. The name of the bengali directors you mentioned are legends and I am nowhere comparing today's directors with them But at least their efforts to bring back Bengali film on track should be appreciated.Rituparno Ghosh was a pioneer in this field but probably his films which flopped at that time might have become successful today because times are changing and the middle class educated bengali families which once stopped going to cinema halls due to utter disgust has started coming back to halls with the new hope of watching improved Bengali films. So times are changing and we must appreciate and not ridicule it by comparing it with the golden past of Bengali films. Good and bad films are being made in every industry from Bollywood to South and so in our industry. Similarly I have watched Sanyasi Raja and its truly unfair to comapre someone with the legendary Uttam Kumar. I personally feel Jishu Sengupta has done a great job. I am proud of the golden past of Bengali films but extremely optimistic about the new future of our industry. Period.
