Thank you Mataji... I'm very impressed with your strength of words... Indeed the word Hinduism is an attempt to call Sanatana Dharma a religion which it is not. In India, you look into the people's eyes and they smile at you.. they don't judge you. You can be a punk with green hair, a hippy, naked beggar, a suited man, a transvestite, the whole culture is based on freedom of choice. The Indians may stare at you, like a dog can stare at you, but there is no judgement. That is why it is beautiful to be there, and beautiful to learn sastra, teaching so many things, whatever your goal of life. Like Krishna said in Bhagavad Gita on the 'battlefield' (war not in a town!) of Kurukshetra - 'I have told you my opinion, now do what you want.' Spirituality is freedom, all glories to Bharat dham.

Svatantra, the absolute freedom of choice and free will of the individual (myself). Svatantrya, the absolute freedom and free will of the mysterious divine force that created me. Both the divine creator and his, her, their creation (me) have free will in their relationship. Our relationship is based on pure and mutual free will. This is mind blowing to me that I cannot force the divine to have the relationship with me that I request. I cannot use any technique, mantra or path to force the divine to bend to my request. She He They have pure free will. The divine may choose from his, her or their own free will. Hi Ron, who made this happiness index? On what criteria do they judge the happiness of individuals. ‘Developing’ nations have always been subject to criteria and indexes developed by the west which are biased and based on a western understanding of things. If the pursuit is to live a Dharmic life then the goal is not happiness - which if you ask me is based on the fulfilment of desires - it is having the ability to tune into the Truth, and make decisions which bring about joy.

Maam, as per Dharmic philosophy, happiness is our inherent nature (Sat-chit-ananda), but we associate it with the fulfilment of something or the other, due to a veil of ignorance where we identify ourselves with things we are not. Hence, the goal is to clear this veil of ignorance and realize our true nature and abide in it. Call this Moksha, Nirvana, Liberation or any other word - but this complete unambiguous realization of our true nature is the goal.

Building Ayodhya temple on the very land that has been a land of conflict, struggle, human division and eternal pain is just another 'dog bites me, I'll bite the dog back' scenario. The trust that i had gained from you Maharishika stumbled. When i found you, it was like finally there's a powerful woman's voice that makes so much practical sense in this heavily dominant mans world, esp spirituality. But alas, the left-brain gulped you down too. :( The essence of Human Spirit is to learn, grow, evolve. If at all the Islamic barbarians broke a hindu temple 500 years back, then the temple wanted to be broken, because there was no spirit left in that stone structure anymore. When human faith in human spirit becomes Blind, as it had in those times of inslamic invasions in the indian subcontinent, the emptiness of the stone/mud/metal idols wanted to be broken, so that something new is born from destruction. The human spirit carries both the energy of The Creation and The Destruction, because we are integrally Nature. So when we support what a set of barbarians did 30 years back in 1992, we are actually supporting what the earlier set of barbarians did 500 years back. Dog bit me, i bite back. There's no growth, no learning from past lessons, no evolution of genetic memory thus in the last 500 years of humanity, which is very unlikely because we claim that we have become more civilized, developed, scientific, etc. What you are man-explaining in this satsang is the same dark age pit your mind is rolling in, as it was 500 years back. And its sad.

Nice story but the dharmic way of life, the freedom to choose is a thing of the past. Hindu fundamentalism has changed that. It is election year + spending millions when your poverty levels and population keep increasing. No humility seen in that and lets not forget the violence with which the Babri mosque was destroyed. Do you think there was no plundering, looting and rape at the time? No instilling of fear - top down?? It violently changed the face of India forever. Claim what is yours if you will but don't sugar coat it.

Looking at India and its population; the country is ranked number 126 concerning the happiness of its citizens, while Afghanistan ranks at the bottom at 137. Finland ranks number one followed by other European countries.
