Mahavathar babaji's original name nagaraj ,,was born in parangipettai Cuddalore district tamilnadu,,,when he was young boy was kidnapped to north ,,where he was a slave of a ameer guy,,then once he was freed by him one day ,,then he goes to katarkamam srilanka where he gets the blessings of a saint who asked him to go to pothigai malai or agasthiyar malai ,( one among 18 siddhars) there babaji meditated for so many years that his body was eaten away by the insects ,,then saint agasthiyar comes and teaches him kriya and ashtama sidhis ,,then asks him to go to the Himalayas,,only when the time comes people will start knowing about you,,and untill then keep doing the purpose of ur life.This was the background story that i have been told.I have visited the birth place of babaji in parangipettai where there is a temple of babaji and all these are mentioned there.This place was identified by one of the shishya of babji who kept on asking baba abt his birthplace n background,,to whom babaji said you go to parangipettai ,,there is a place where a boat lies upside down exact that spot only i was born,,so he went in search of the place ,,,where under the same place mentioned by babaji ,,the shishya saw a banyan tree under which babaji was sitting ,,,then at that exact location temple was built by him. Well there are so may stories but don't know which one to believe,, unless i see him and ask him 😅one day 🎉😇

No one has heard of Maha avtar babaji for centuries till last decade where many have opened up their ashrams and shops nor Maha avtar has been mentioned in Vedic Scriptures which took 1000s of years to compile after seclusion, meditation, testing and penance by Rishis who realized and shared its collective principles of universal spiritual laws with humanity. I don't doubt people's investment in spirituality and divine but if it is based on miracles to feel drawn it will be short lived. And people refuse to believe in simplicity, simple sincere sadhana, simple truth, simple conduct, simple behavior, simple compassion rather they prefer to show off, complicate and decorate faith around miracles and small magic instead.

Do you think even if Shiva took a stroll on earth he would show up with snakes and damru? Maybe just a loincloth and simple backswept hair instead of a top bun and Ganga ji and crescent moon . So good to hear such wisdom. Its the demand of time for humanity to move towards higher states of consciousness, that could be the reason that people are whether on surface level or deep level moving towards spirituality. Around one and half decade ago when i started my journey towards spirituality then knew only about my Guruji and relevant miracles but now a days such dimension of many more great beings get opened. Quest to know everything is the prime goal of normal human being but one who acquires the higher states of consciousness moves away from such questions since he or she knows the answer as universe get open for them like internet to download information's only when needed. I am little fortunate in life that i got to meet two normal human beings and later they got into higher states of consciousness, taking to them and knowing things was kind of a reality check that how less fortunate are we that living in this world without experiencing it.
