I love this song, the message is good and overall tune is great, compliment the music. In my opinion, what Maher Zain has done is not just a good song, but giving what the music industry is now missing; a song with a positive message. And, making a song that's can be heard not just for Muslims, but for non-Muslims too shows that Islam is a Deen that is Rahmatan lil 'Alamin, for all humans, Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

@@DhrSalim That's depends on time, and your state religious body's decision or fatwa. My country's fatwa allows it because music and song before are associated with parties of the Jahiliyyah, but nowadays it can be used as a message platforms to spread Islam. There is also hadiths that says Prophet Muhammad is ok with musics as celebrations, so there's hadith that didn't allow it, yet there's also hadiths that allows it. It's like slavery in Islam. It's allowed during Prophet Muhammad s.a.w because at that time slave has economical values so in Islam there's rules on the status of slaves in Islam, but also there's rules on releasing slaves as a way to pay jizyah. But nowadays there's no way we can allow slavery because slavery nowadays is a taboo.

@arabian princesa Yes, but Prophet Muhammad s.a.w is already die, and the ones who now inherited the responsibility of dictating wether any issues is either haram or halal is the ulama'. And if you lived in a Muslim country, which fortunately I do, there's an Islamic Council or what we here called the Fatwa Council where it's their responsibility to dictate anything as either halal or haram or change any pre-existing deeds likes Friday prayer during COVID-19 pandemic and etc. There are things that's it's original verdict is haram like music because in the time of Rasulullah s.a.w, musics are associated with Jahiliyyah parties. But now music is no longer just for entertainment, it's also a platforms for da'awah, spread messages (good and bad, unfortunately), etc. So it's all comes to what music are you listening, are the music has any form of bad messages, do you listening until you miss prayer, the list goes on and on. Let give me an example of marriage. In general, the verdict for marriage is halal. But it can be from mandatory to haram, depending on the situations.
