Man I love watching how people’s careers progress over time. When they finally reach that level of superstardom and have achieved their goals, I am so happy for them. Even if I don’t know them, it is the fact that they are living their dream. It’s like watching a family member or homie make it. I remember watching Mahershala Ali on Crossing Jordan and now he is a two-time Oscar winner. Dope!

Finally watched Swan Song last night. This film is genuinely a great work of art. The ideas invoked coming through his calm powerful presence made this film something to see. Swan Song is something that stands alone in its greatness. Each and every scene was just stunning. The tears I cried at the end felt as though they came from deep within my belly. Loved this movie so much! well done, Mr. Ali, well done.

I loved Swan Song. I loved loved it. Oddly, it reminded me of Moonlight. The aesthetics of it. Brown skin and a very green nature. Other aspects of the movie were simply brilliant. For example, the acting. It was s uperb.

I enjoyed this interview. I too recognized Mr M. Ali’s calming energy. He comes with a very grounded energy. I saw him on another interview with several hosts interviewing him and that calming energy he brought with him quashed all the brew haha they usually have for their guests.❤️

Pardon my ignorance please but I was genuinely curious about this. I’ve noticed Trevor doing that handshake whenever his guests are black men. How do they all know to do that handshake?
