It isn't just a ring. It represents the Sultan's love. Moroever it isn't pathetic. At that time all women of the Harem acted that way because they didn't have the option to move on & find some other man to love them. Even Hurrem herself acted that way when Firuze came later in the series. It saddens me how a scripted show makes people hate Mahidevran & other characters like Valide sultan though. They were portrayed mean & weak while Hurrem is the only one portrayed as courageous, smart & cunning. Like literally Valide in real life could have been a sweet mother who loves & treats Mahidevran & Hurrem equally but this show portrayed her like a scheming lady who is biased.

No one says it's not. Mahidevran loved him, I understand her pain very well. Blame is always on Hurrem, while i think it was always Suleyman's fault. He started to treat her differently and hurt her a lot. Hurrem just did what every concubine would do on her place. Mahidevran did the same Gulfem, on the other hand she should have counted with possibility there will be an another woman. Hurrem did, but she was a way different. Mahidevran thought she will be always the one and she does not have to do anything. She was wrong.

@@faryalaziz Since we're unsure of who the mother of Raziye is, Mahidevran *might* have been her mother, if she was the older sister of Mustafa. But for Mahidevran to have more than one son is historically impossible. The Ottomans lived by the "one son for one mother" rule until Hurrem broke it. Suleiman did have two other sons when he first came to the throne, but they were born to other women and sadly died of smallpox early in his reign along with Raziye. (I, personally, sometimes love to think of what could have happened had they lived, though!)

@@Redluna32 Mahidevran gave birth to two sons one died early one was Musrafa and she was pregnant again but they showed she miscarried which isn't true its pure fiction he lived for short time he also had the same disease as Mehmat he died young and Mihirmah was twin with her brother Abdullah he died during infancy and Mahidevran also gave birth to a daughter she died early all of them didn't reach adolescence so far I've read it somewhere they somewhat showed fiction in this drama they didn't quite follow the story and Hurrem killing Mustafa pure fiction and Mehmat was killed by Mahidevran it was added he died of smallpox most of Sulaiman's children died of smallpox or some sort of diseases
