The Sultan fell in love with Hurrem from the moment he first laid eyes on her. Hurrem was not to blame for Sueliman to want to be with the woman he loved. Remember, Mahidevran Hutan was not Sueliman's wife then, nor ever would be. Sueliman married the woman he loved. And he loved her for 40 yrs. Their marriage was a formal wedding which lasted for days. Queen Hurrem, was treated as she was, The Ottoman Empires Empress.

Mahidevran Hatun(around 1500-1581) 'The last concubine of the provinces'. Concubine of unknown origins, maybe Albania, Circassia, Montenegro or Crimea. Consort of Suleiman i and mother of his 2-3 child Sehzade Mustafa. After her sons execution she retired to Bursa and lived in extreme poverty. Selim started sending her money in the early 1560s and after he became Sultan he paid of all her depts, bought a larhe house with a beautiful garden for her, and built Mustafas masoleum. She was the last to follow the typical path of a mother of a son: Have a son-raise that son-follow him to his Sanjak and rule his harem there-if the son became Sultan, follow him to the capital and rule the Imperial harem in the Old Palace/or if the son died before becoming Sultan, retire to Bursa. Sehzade Mustafa(1515-6.11.1553) Half brother of Sehzade Mahmud(1512-10.1521), Sehzade Murad(1519-10.1521), Raziye Sultan(before 1520-10.1521), Sehzade Mehmed(late 1521-6.11.1543), Mihrimah Sultan(autumn 1522-25.1.1578), Selim ii(28.5.1524-12/15.12.1574), Sehzade Abdullah(1525/26-died young), Sehzade Bayezid(1527-23.7.1562) and Sehzade Cihangir(1531-27.11.1553). In real life he was not close to any of his siblings, they were raised mostly apart. This was due to the law of fratricide, wich was also why there was the one concubine-one son rule. Hurrem Sultans sons were the first full brothers since early in the empire. Governor of Manisa(1533-1541), Amasya(1541-1549) and Konya(1549-1553). His only known concubine was from Crimea and was born around 1525, but we dont know wich children she was the mother of. Its unknown if Mustafa followed the one concubine-one son rule like his ancestors had, including his father untill he met Hurrem. Mustafa was the father of Sehzade Mehmed(1546-1553), Sehzade Ahmed(?-1552?), Nergisah Sultan(1536-?) and Sah Sultan(1550-1577). Executed on the order of his father, and so was his son Mehmed.

Well, Hurrem died a very painful death and never saw her son rule. Two died painful deaths through illnesses. One was murdered alongside her grandkids by order of her beloved husband.The one who ruled was a helpless drunk who lasted 8 years before he dropped dead from complications. So, only Suleyman won cause he got to die in power at a very old age.
