At the cost of safety?! Like wtf.. Mahindra's after sales experience too is very good! XUV 7OO has got one of the best ride quality, handling, best in class power, Safest car In India.. Its a complete package unlike Alcazar which offers only hassle free ownership and in Safari's case ride quality. And first of all we cant comment on Safari's Safety. As per reports by team bhp, in order to cut cost, Tata engineers have heavily diluted the Land Rover derived OmegaArc platform; and the oil pump intrusion in the cabin of Safari concedes that during a crash test it wont score more than 3 stars. Even im shocked how could Tata do this to their flagship product although it feels robust tough and safe during in person experience.

I don't understand why have people started to dislike the safari so much since the launch of the xuv700. In my opinion safari and xuv700 both are better than mg hector plus and alcazar. Then why so much negativity about safari Just because it is not as rough and tough as its older versions doesn't mean it is not a compelling buy. Many people including me don't want their cars to be too much electronic and so them safari is perfect. Moreover, I think safari is the most good looking of the four

Actually if Safari is added with those missing features too, then too it wont succeed in dethroning the XUV 7OO. This' because both cars' top model prices as of now are almost same, but at the same price point 7OO is offering much more than Safari. If Tata adds the missing tech such as a bigger, more fluid, clear, crisp and responsive Infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, ADAS, AWD, full LED headlights, memory function seat, smart intelli control etc. and the remaining fancy features..it would skyrocket the prices of the product. Practicality is also on 7OO's side. It gets both Diesel and Petrol powerterrains (best in class power and torque figures), gets Manual and Automatic gearboxes for both of their engines, gets AWD, has 5/7 seater option, also the base variant costs only 12.5L. And also the XUV 7OO has proven itself as the safest car of India!

Finally an Indian car maker pushing the 190+ hp figures which is very much need for an SUV, only other manufacturers being fords 3.2 diesel putting out 200hp and other vehicles Santa Fe etc . I've driven the XUV 500 a lot and it's just an amazing engine , can only imagine the XUV 700s 197 hp engine and also overall engineering of the XUV is superb way ahead of any tata for sure.

People who are saying Safari has a better ride quality are right but XUV 7OO's ride quality too is almost there and is better judged as said by them. Handling, better cornering ability and body roll much better contained too although being a big SUV. Its a complete worth the money package.

Test drove all the 3 cars, XUV 700 is good, liked the diesel automatic. Felt like a car, not an SUV, which is a big positive. Bought Safari xza+, a fortnight back. I strongly felt this one to be best amongst the choice. The stance, driving dynamics and the confidence it gives is better. For the heft and dimensions of both Safari and XUV - maneuver ability is quite easy and smooth. On points - would rate Safari, a notch higher. Yet to process, getting my booking amount back paid for XUV. PS. Personal opinion.

XUV 700 is the best overall. However Safari is the "real" SUV. It's body on ladder chassis and therefore toughest of the 3. Also it's 3rd row is the most comfortable.

Body on frame ????? Lollll that safari is a monocoque based crossover just like the other two ..... If the credit of being capable should be given then it should be given to the XUV700 for AWD ..... And the platform of xuv700 is much stronger than safari as mahindra used higer % of boron steel in the structure and they also used the ring structures just like german cars do which is very good at providing alround protection to the structure and the welds used in XUV too r of another level .... Over all XUV700 is safe and strong and also capable

Safari needs an AWD to stay true to its name and does need new age infotainment, but otherwise its the most butch looking package. Its a pity that XUV700 wasn't a diesel in this comparison, as realistically that mileage figures on petrol variants will be appalling and performance comparison won't be apples to apples. One thing I believe every reviewer is shying away from and shouldn't really is stating the fact that Alcazar is built on the same platform as Kia Seltos, which barely scraped 3 stars crash rating; and for the money provides you little in terms of safety.

Safari in real world looks very muscular and has good road presence especially in top models. Driving dynamics is also very good with very nice ride quality. Diesel engine is also very powerful in sports mode. City mode is also adequate. If you compare 3 cars you should come with same fuel engines atleast. Here Alcazar and XUV came with petrol engines and Safari with diesel engine. XUV is also a very good car with AWD.

What's the bhp/ton ? People forget that the XUV is a portly 2000 kg. 100 bhp/ton vs the Creta 1.4 or Kushaq 1.5 120 bhp/ton.

Surprisingly the Kia Carens has the best 3 row seats in any vehicle below 20 lacs in the market right now. And yet that's not the car I will recommend to most people for multiple other reasons. Btw, while Safari is indeed a tiny bit spruced up Harrier and Alaczar is a stretched Creta, the XUV700 is the only original vehicle out of the three and also the best one for those not constrained by the budget despite Safari with its refined Fiat sourced engine in its direct competition. Hyundai Alcazar is the wild card here: the 2023 face lift sporting a 1.5 lts. turbo petrol mated to DCT gearbox, is great car for a young urban family with 2 kids or elderly parents who need it for city and highway drives but not for bad roads. It has a good build, beautiful interiors, feature rich, very comfortable, nice to drive with its new 159bhp & 253 nm torque and best automatic gearbox (a dual clutch) which does provide pretty decent mileage both in city (13-14 kmpl) and highway (18-19 kmpl) as well, moreover the 6 seater with 4 captain seats is a very good place to be in and the car also boasts of a massive boot space with 3rd row seats down (>6 ltr.)...... one of the downsides is that ncap ratings are not available thus safety levels being not certain and the car is narrow, its an elongated Creta at the end of the day thus the width is bit compromised.

You'll can ask this thing from any experienced driver/ or someone who drives Luxury cars. The steering doesnt needs to be heavy all time to aspire conifidence. It needs to be sharp, agile, no play in the steering/dead centre (the car should immediately follow the pointed direction) and needs to gain a fair amount of weight at higher speeds, pothholes/ bad/rough patches shouldnt affect the steering much. This is where you feel the adrenaline and this' how XUV 7OO excels in handling.
