Mahmood sings a portion of Com'è Profondo il Mare (roughly "How Deep is the Sea"), a song by the beloved Italian singer-songwriter Lucio Dalla, a sort of historical journey that is an indictment of the powerful, who are disinterested in the collective drama of the weak and defenseless and create an injustice that ends up destroying even the sea, that is, freedom of thought.
