This is the best band she has put together so far I reckon. This is such a strong album and this is a truly beautiful version of an amazing track. Her voice is perfect throughout and her backing singers are angels... I hope more of these videos surface soon they are fantastic

Totally the best band she's put together. I've only ever liked listening to her alone with a guitar because once her tracks hit the studio the instrumentalists just trash her beautiful vibe. This album is beautiful!

3:42 is what I imagine the Big Bang was like. Solar systems explode into creation each time I reach that point in the video. Pure magic, as always, Ms. Marling.

I won't forget the late September Where we basked among the midnight embers But it's going like a half-remembered dream Left and north of where we met Thinking better of going west Yes we lost each other in a river stream I thought I'd come and find you there Wait until you lost your hair And got your place out in the woods You're not afraid of trees or bears Or anything with tendencies To wanna hurt you good The only thing I learnt in a year Where I didn't smile once, not really Nothing matters more than love, no Nothing, no, not nothing no, not nearly We've not got long, you know To bask in the afterglow Once it's gone it's gone I won't forget the late September Where we basked among the midnight embers But it's going like a half-remembered dream Left and north of where we met Thinking better of going west Yes we lost each other in a river stream The only thing I learnt in a year Where I didn't smile once, not really Nothing matters more than love, no Nothing, no, not, nothing no, not nearly We've not got long, you know To bask in the afterglow Once it's gone it's gone Love waits for no one We've not got long, you know To bask in the afterglow Once it's gone it's gone Love waits for no one

Nope nope nope and more nope. I'm in agreement with Louis Seize below. Maybe this album has "received critical acclaim" but possibly at the school for the deaf. If you want to sound like Bob Dylan's early days--speaky/singy--you'll need a smoker's throat. Draggy, whiney, strummy. [shudder]
@justyouwait087 жыл бұрын
What a strange, specific requirement. It's garbage simply because she doesn't have a raspy voice? How inane.
@WNCBabyLady7 жыл бұрын
No I I said it's draggy and whiney and strumy. He's a far cry from Dylan.
@bruno_dias6 жыл бұрын
God, you're so annoyingly American. Dylan's voice was his worst asset!
