This song reminds me of someone very special to me. It was the 24th of December when my back-then close friend and me would leave the city to spend the weekends together. We always stayed at the same hostel. An old Japanese house built by the owner. Nothing fancy, nothing shiny, but we couldn't ask for more as there was warmth in this house. We would wake up early to go surfing and seeing the sun rising. I played this song on Christmas Eve, when we were having our self-cooked soba. She was crying. A couple weeks earlier she told me she had feelings for me, but I knew I would move back to Europe. We didn't kiss. She was too precious. When I was about to take the flight back home, I told her what I also felt for her. Ever since, we are one. When I hear this song, it doesn't feel that we are 9,000 km away from each other.
