I can name on one hand, a series of anime that made me cry. But non of them, made me both cry, smile, and laugh at the same time as this one did. And that ending.. Jeeesh, it was soo perfectly animated, written, and done.

Half of the first half of the anime (ep 1-6, i believe) focused greatly around death. Nevin, the couple, the cats, Ruth's sister, you get it. The story, as i understand it is about... letting go of the dead and continue living. Would you believe, the main antagonist is an exact contradiction to that. He's immortal, cursed and hated. All he really wants is to die, but, well... you know. Then there's Elias. He is the cutest and coolest thing i've seen since i first imagined the Guardian some years back and made a book that i will never publish about it. Like, how can i hate him? And Silky too, she's wonderful. No seriously, in all of the characters' stories, at least most of them have had someone leave or die at some point in their lives. Then there's the opening and ending songs to the first half(ep1-12) which just compliments the melancholic beauty of it all. Seriously, i loved it to the point where i simply didn't watch more than 2 episodes each day, simply so i can watch it longer.

Can't agree more! I just finished watching the whole anime series, and it felt like a modern version of William Blake's literature. Life and death, good and evil, all those pairs that seem contradictory at first glance are actually inseparable. I think the creator of this series wanted to show us that the world is a huge collection of lights and shadows just like Chise and Elias. The beauty of life lies in that harmonious irony, and to me, that is where everything turns into a magical journey :)

Hey , me too , I have just finished watching it.....Elias , the cutest and the most caring and the most warm hearted person ever....all he had gotten from people that is feeling of hatred , unwanted, he was so lonely.....again on the other hand Chise....brave and kind girl with a terrible childhood.....she also thought that she was unfortunate from her childhood.....just then Fate helps them to meet with each other....2 different souls troubled with their own past helped each other to overcome it and finally made their own way to the way of their free lives full of happiness 💖💖💖💖💖💖.........I cried a lot of times and smiled too....it's my favourite anime.....💖💖💖💖🥰🥰🥰🥰

This is an outstanding piece of music. The intro gives the feeling of the beginning of an amazing adventurous story, and then the rest of it gives a hopeful and emotional feeling. All of which the show (I haven't read the manga yet) really is. It is an amazing and adventurous story full of wonderful sights and awe inspiring moments, and has so many pleasantly emotional and deep scenes. This piece of music is truly wonderful.

And characters , valuable lessons, death and live , comprehension, keep going or give up , ... @@tek512 Can be done but it has to be pencil and dice with a great DM who's done the research. And also borrowing from my pure Call of Cthulhu campaign little combat as in both the beings you are dealing with can't be dealt with by force. You have out think the puzzle the DM comes up with and gather what is needed to solve.
