Made this bunny recently for my girlfriend but I didn't have fluffy yarn so I basically combined two balls of normal yarn and used a 4.5mm hook, it works but the plushie ends up a little firmer than you'd expect and a little chubbier, still a great pattern and if you're a bit more experienced with crochet it's honestly a very adaptable pattern, (i gave mine a little necktie) I absolutely loved making it and my girlfriend loves it too 🫶🫶🫶

It's not just the yarn/hook size. The yarn material can also make a difference on the size of the finished item. Coz I have 2 yarns of the same size which are 3 Light/DK, 1 Acrylic and 1 Cotton. I noticed that the Acrylic one is thicker. Im unable to make a puff stitch with the Acrylic one. And The cotton one makes my project appear somehow smaller.
