आदरणीय Davinder Singh जी, सादर अभिवादन ! आज अचानक आप पर नज़र गई. दरअसल इस गाने की भी अपनी एक कहानी है... ख़ैर ! किस्सा लम्बा है... मैं यह कहना चाह रहा था कि Nishtha जी तक मेरी शुभकामना पहुँचा दीजियेगा. अच्छा गाती हैं...वो ! लेकिन उन्हें शब्दों...और शब्दों के भावों को भी और गहराई से समझना चाहिए. मूल गाने में है... "आप ही की नज़र है दीवानी..." ...और 'निष्ठा' जी ने गा दिया... "आप ही की नज़र की दीवानी..." यूँ तो 'है' की जगह 'की' गाना वजन की दृष्टि से कोई बड़ी चूक ( दोनों में मात्राएँ दो-दो हैं...) नहीं लेकिन 'देवेंदर' जी...यहाँ भाव 'मर' गया सर... इस गीत में 'राजा' ( Raja Mehdi Ali Khan,गीतकार ) साहब कहना चाहते हैं... कि - प्यार की बिजलियाँ मुस्कुराये देखिये आप पर गिर ना जाए दिल कहे देखता ही रहूँ मैं सामने बैठकर ये अदाएं... तो लड़की ( साधना,आशा जी...) कहती है... ना मैं हूँ नाज़नीं, ना मैं हूँ माहजबीं आप ही की नज़र है दीवानी ( यहाँ भाव है कि मैं कुछ नहीं हूँ...नाज़नी,माहजबीं...कुछ नहीं...बस आपकी नज़र ही दीवानी है... very different. Very rarely I find singers not imitating the original singers and sing in their own voice. The power of the original singer's influence on any other singer is quite powerful. It happens without the singer noticing it. But these singers seem to come out of that influence and sing in their own voices. Quite good. Thanks.

This song from the 1962 film _Ek Musafir Ek Hasina_ is unique. *Singers*: Mohammad Rafi and Asha Bhosale. *Lyrics:* Raja Mehdi Ali Khan. *Music:* OP Nayyar. *Song*: मै प्यार का राही हूँ, तेरी जुल्फ के साये मे. This is perhaps the *only Hindi film song which is recorded without any percussion instruments* - no tabla, no dholak, no drums! Just listen. It starts with guitar. It has flute and saxophone playing between stanzas. Has violins, but no percussion in the entire song! Why? The story goes that tabla, drum and dholak artistes were late and could not reach the recording studio at the appointed time. OP Nayyar was a stickler for discipline and didn’t wait for them. He shut the doors and started recording in time with the available musicians! Great! I have listened and enjoyed this song umpteen times, but never realised the above. Point well taken, but why their is no peace and hormone in India among minorities especially Muslim community there economic situation is deplorable my friend went to India and told me horrible stories about communal riot's since 1947 against minorities especially Muslim horrible horrible stories, why hindus hate Muslim so much may be because they ruled over them for years.
