I was freshman at U of San Carlos when ML was proclaimed. I did not remember any atrocities done to us. During ML peace was restored. I like it though. One of my female friends who’s a dean lister was recruited by NPA and went to the boonies to fight against the govt. That was sad because she was the only hope of her family to lift them up from poverty. I’m not sure if she’s still alive today. There are still a lot of untold stories that need to be told about the real events that took place during Martial Law. For me I grab the opportunity to grab the offer during ML, to pursue and finished my degree with the help of Marcos admin. Thanks to Marcos I am a successful food scientist in so Cal ❤️

You are implying that since your experience is different, theirs are not real or just made up. What about the persons who suddenly disappeared because they are journalists? Those people that were found dead because they spoke up? My friend also has a ML experience that one morning they just noticed in the streets that the military were burning bodies after they were severely tortured, was that fake as well because you didn't see it? How about the billions of money that were stolen, and is still being recovered as of today? Or the cronies that spoke up and told that the Marcoses have been hauling money ever since they came into power? What about the foreign courts saying that they were responsible for all the atrocities they caused? Can you justify each and everyone of that?

most awaited even for the yellows because they will definitely be criticizing the details that depicts a "good" Marcos. after all the efforts they made to make him the devil. expect it even from those who has no idea what really happened during that era, specially those who were not even born yet and only based their prejudice from the books they read and what they were taught in school. and that's what i love about this movie, the producers, director, actors/actress and every single crew that helped create the film. it takes a lot of courage to participate in this expecting all the bashing and hate they will receive from those 14 million people who only accepts one side of the story, one that had been clearly manipulated and cleaned. i will watch this in the big screen, after almost 3 yrs into the pandemic this will be the first time that i will step inside a cinema again in support to this (claiming it) masterpiece.
